Bra fitting...borderline TMI.

So, I'm probably the only woman in the world that hasn't ever had a real bra fitting...until this weekend. I wanted to purchase some new things so I went to Vicki's and got measured. I was so surprised by the discrepancy in the size I had been wearing and the size that I should be wearing.

I'm President of the Itty Bitty T*tty Committee and had been wearing a 36A...yeah, so I'm actually a 32C. I didn't even know that size existed...seems like such an oxymoron.

You sound like me. I went to Intimacy and got a fitting earlier this year. My size (which I don't remember) is something crazy. I heard Vicky's doesn't do an accurate job at fittings. But IDK. Do yall have an Intimacy there?

No Intimacy here (one in Atlanta though so I could go one weekend when I'm in town), but I felt so much better in the new size and the bras looked great on...maybe I'm one of the lucky ones.

Maybe I should do Vicky's for the actual bras. But I don't think they have my lil retarded size! And the ones I want at Intimacy are like $110. Not that deep! lol

I've yet to have a professional bra fitting. I wonder if I'm really missing out.

@Reka: You really should do it. You'll be surprised the difference you feel when you're wearing the correct size.

@eagles347- That's so funny I am also a proud member of the itty bitty committee. I was in Vicki's on Saturday and I bought a 36A bra but after your experience the next time I go I am going to get fitted...who knew 32C...?

@ Eagles, glad to hear you're in the right size now!  It makes all the difference.

I got measured at Vickie's once and they did a bad job - I could tell they just were doing it fast and it wasn't detailed and they didn't talk with me about it.  They actualy did it right in the store with my bra/shirt on, which I thought was ineffective.

So I went to Intimacy in Phipps Plaza (atlanta) and got a real fitting - it was AWESOME.  They spent time with me, really showed me the differences and talked through the reasons why my regular bras didn't fit right.  Of couse I bought NOTHING there - LOL.  Way too expensive lke Tyboyd said.  But I did find my wedding bra/panty set there and was able to order it from a British online store for about 40 dollars less than they were selling it for in Intimacy.  :)

    I would recommend a bra fitting for anyone!  I went from a 36B to a 34D or 34E.  LOL!!!!!

@Ty, I can't get a bra fitting anytime soon since the girls keep changing because of this pregnancy.

@ Cincy & Ty - I see...yeah, I really was lucky. My consultant talked me through everything and spent all the time I needed and answered most of my questions before I asked. As with most things, I guess it just depends on the store and consultant.

I usually have a fitting done at least once a year and yes, Vicky's is not the best.  One year an associate there told me I wear a 36C....I am clearly a 34B, fitting after fitting.

With all of these incorrect fittings Im going to get fitted somewhere else I would have to laugh if I found out the fitting was wrong and be kinda blowed about all these new bras.

For the record... Vickis does not do accurate bra fittings.  One lady fitted me, then 5 minutes later I had forgotten the size, another lady fitted me and the size was completely different.  My cousin also got fitted there and she had similar issues.  I'm not sure.

Oh NO! Vicki's bra sizes are a little different from any other brand. All of my bras that I buy at any other store are 34D. Vicki's always gives you this outrageous size so much bigger than your real size. They tried to tell me I was an E. I know Im not that big. Im a little fuller at the top but Ive seen some big ones and Im def not an E. How do you go from a A to a C? Thats so big of a range. Go to Macys and get sized. They will do it correctly

I didn't go from an A to a C in the same band size. Smaller band, larger cup. 36A to 32C. The conversion sizes actually make sense to me. I understand that bras may range from brand to brand. I actually anticipate having a hard time finding the 32C. However, I love Vicki's products so it works for me. I tried on two sizes after she measured me and got the best fit and look from the new size. Trust me...my bras are still itty bitty. Sorry you all had bad experiences though.
