For those with adults only receptions...

...are those 18 and under invited to the ceremony? And if so, how did your address the invite? I'm now confused...

Re: For those with adults only receptions...

  • I wouldn't invite them at all if they arent invited to both. I excluded children 3 and under all together and let everyone with kids know that those children would be in a separate room

  • I added at the bottom of the invite Adult Reception Only
Im only all immediate family kids and they have been told. Im also including the number of guest their allowed. They will just confirmed yes or no.

  • i have stated via our website that both the ceremony and reception are adults only--no children under 14. i'll be adding it to the formal invitation as well

  • Put it on the website and only address the invite to the people invited. If they have children I would call or tell them directly about your child policy. The children under 14 should not be invited to the ceremony

etiquette wise you're not supposed to put "adult only reception" on your invites

  • So if someone was to bring there kid(s) to the ceremony they would have to take their kids to a sitter for the reception. Seems like an inconvenience.
