When she get a man? Asking for a +1.

I already had 1 relative send me a FB message asking can she bring her bf when the card clearly states 1 seat is reserved. When did she get a bf? Then I noticed another relative a few days after I sent my invitations out changed her status to "in a relationship." I have not received her invite yet but I know she got it. I told my mom about this; all of a sudden everyone wants to have a man for the wedding. It would be one thing if they did not know anyone but this family. If I allowed all singles to bring a date than my wedding list would be doubled.

I considered transportation(driver vs bus riders), age, importance, and relationship before I assigned +1. People really think we have money to waste on random folks.

Okay I'm going through the same thing. My sister want to bring her BF and my FI groomsmen want to bring his GF.  Luckily it is a small wedding and the two extra people won't bother us too much but it does cause us to now need transporatation the day of the wedding. Oh well Lol! Be strong girl!
Until the first full year of being one! Anniversary

Of course the answer should be no.  lol.  However, people don't think about our budgets; they just think about how they want their boo to be with them.  To me it's like kids, they don't have any concept of the money involved.

My motto is if your single, your going to be single at the wedding. My best friend always say you don't bring sand to the beach...LOL which is true. I mean it's a strong possibility that you may meet your boo future husband at the wedding so why bring someone if you are not attached. Another thing is if you were single when I sent out Save the dates and Invites, now all of a sudden you get a man or a woman and I'm supposed to invite them too... Um no ma'am or sir, if I don't know your boo then you will not be bringing them to the wedding. These plus 1's cost and no one is balling like that. So I say girl tell them No and if they chose not to show because of that, oh well. That's a few less people you have to pay for when your final numbers are due.... :)

You already know I am not giving anyone a plus one if they are not married or engaged, so my people already know the answer to that question will be heck no if you ask me to bring your boo du jour.   The money issue is a given, but I don't want people I don't know at my wedding.

We are having a small wedding 68 people in a SMALL VENUE. No, we don't have space to accommodate extra people. If I wanted to accommodate an additional guest, FI and I both have a grocery list of people that we were unable to invite that we would choose to include before you random boo du jour.

Moreover, I don't want to look at my pictures 3, 5, 10 years from now and see strangers in my wedding photos.  If she breaks up with him 3 months later and forgets his name once she moves on, he or she has now been documented as a part of the most significant day in your life and you don't know who that is....  I think not.
