Can't find a wedding band I love...

There is a wedding band that our jeweler claims matches my e-ring, but it has a full circle of diamonds around it and the e-ring only has a half circle. I've looked at other jewelers for something similar that is only in a half circle, but the inset of the diamonds in my e-ring is unique and none of the half circle diamond bands really match, either. So, I think I'm left with either plain platinum (not loving that) or this one sort of interesting band that has some cool Edwardian details to it, but no diamonds. But, it really bugs me that the jeweler who makes my e-ring makes a wedding band that doesn't REALLY match it! That's lame.

That is lame! If you are going to wear it forever it should be exactly what you want, not something you settled for. I understand, I was so worried I wasn't going to be able to find a band to go with my ring, but we ended up having it custom made. Is this something you could look into?

I don't get it...why does it matter if there are more diamonds? No one looks at the bottom of your finger? If it really bugs you, why not take a picture of it and have it custom made by another jeweler (or the same jeweler if they do custom work)? Since you'd have less diamonds, it'd probably be the same (to account for design fee, etc.) or a little less expensive.

I agree with PPs about looking into a custom jeweler.  Since you're pretty specific about what you want, it may be the way to go if it fits in your budget.

LOL maybe you guys are right and more diamonds are better... it just seemed weird to me that the e-ring only comes in a half circle and the 'matching' wedding band only comes in a full circle. You'd think they'd both be one or the other, but what do I know?

Maybe it's in case you want to wear it alone? My ering has diamonds 3/4 of the way around, maybe more, just on the very bottom it doesn't. FI had it custom made that way. My wedding bands are eternity bands though. I figured if I wanted to wear them alone (without my ering), I'd rather have the diamonds all the way around so I don't have to worry about the rings turning, etc.
