Flooding

I work in Kent. My street floods every year. Guess what? Happy Monday, it's already flooded! I drove in and it wasn't so bad. But I got freaked out and made some one drive me out before it got too deep. Now I'm stuck at work. HOpefully some one will drive me to my car!Last year it got so deep that it was up to the windows in a co-workers Ford Focus, going over the hood and everything. We had to be driven in by semis. AHH!! I need a new job!Tygirl- If you wanna come and check it out you should! I think I'll have to take some pics and post them later.IT SUCKS!

I work in kent just a couple blocks from the bank of the green river.  They keep talking about our flood plan.  how about you guys?  we wont be working if the Army Corps releases all that water.

Yikes! FI cousin told me last night he had to pack up his work because it is going to flood soon... He said as soon as rain came... Hope you get home safe!

We got some water in our office, but that's because the drain pipe that runs from the gutters was clogged and pooling up by our windows/entrance. Not sure if I want to try and get my car stuck looking at the water, though. ;)

Honestly, we haven't talked about the flood much. Honestly, they think that our actual facility is up high enough that it won't flood inside. It is just the road in front of our work that is flooded. it is a cross from a creek and a farm land so there is a lot of area for the water to go first.   Tygirl- I just meant drive to the end of the road and look down. :0) Not drive through it. I wouldn't even suggest that to some one I didn't like.  It definately sucks!

They are working on getting everyone set up to wrok from home. I already have my escape plan in place. I work off of lind and the street usually floods and we have a peice of the river in back.. lucky us! I have a few days saved up, hopefully that will be enough...
