So I just recieved my from someone who is unable to make it, but they Made the check out to my first name and my FI first and last name. Being as though I do not have that last name yet. How do I cash this check? Any suggestions?

I'm a teller! Do you guys have a joint account, if so you can deposit it into that account or cash it against that account. If not it will vary bank to bank. I'm at TD we would suggest you deposit it with both you and hubby endorsing the back. You can also look at the check and see when is the latest you can cash/deposit, it should say void after 90 days or something like that. So, you could actually wait til after the nuptuals.

If the check was  made out to me  and hubby (written with new last name for me), both of us signed the back. If  a check was made out  to me with new last name I signed my regular signature on the back with a note stating that the last name on the check was my new married name. This worked without any problems.
