RAVE/PIP/AW: My invites

I'm excited I actually have a vendor rec I can share with my Seattle girls!I wanted to do something a little unique for invitations, but I also liked another NJ knottie's invitations a lot. So I told Jessica's Design Shop about my idea to make them into boxed invites--basically I wanted her to make a modified invitation suite that included my guests' names on the belly band (instead of my and FI's name on all of them) along with wrap-around labels for boxes I had ordered.I just picked them up yesterday and they look awesome! I am in the process of assembling them with the purple tissue paper and label paper I purchased and they are really coming out fantastic. I am super picky with printing-related things since I'm an editor and I can really say she did a great job. She put up with my MANY editorial changes and was always accessible. Both our families are Italian (read: there are about a zillion variations of practically the exact same name on multiple invites) and I was pleasantly surprised there weren't errors! There was one tiny mistake in a guest address, but it was a close family friend and one we planned to hand deliver anyway.I took some pics with my phone so they're not the best quality and don't really have good color at all, but hopefully it will give an idea:Invite:Inside of box:Outer mailer:

I LOVE Jessica! She did my invitations and they were fantastic. I also recommend her highly! (Mine are somewhat similar to yours Melissa!)

Those are really beautiful! I totally hear you on the Italian last names - both FI and I are Italian & have crazy names too. I remember that you're doing a viennese (which I need to look up/learn more about), but are there any other ways you're incorporating your Italian heritage into your wedding? FI and I would like to do something, but we don't want to spend a billion dollars.

Hmm, a lot of Italian things are probably just normal wedding things to me. =) Let's see...we changed a lot of the food on our menu to be more Italian (swapped out a grilling station during cocktail hour for a station with Italian food--escarole and bean soup, fried calamari, broccoli rabe and sausage, eggplant rollatini, etc.) and are serving zeppoli as our favor. We'll have the Ave Maria sung in Italian at our ceremony. Ummm prob dance the tarentella. A couple things we're not doing that are Italian traditions are using Jordan almonds as our favor (not a fan and they just sit around for years I feel like) and I'm not carrying a bolsa (white satin bag to collect cards--seems outdated and tacky to me).
