***Tam Tam***

I wrote this to you in your "Things To Do List" thread,  but I don't think you saw it...here it is again!  Smile

Tam, when is your next hair trial?  Are you trying for that same Eva Longoria style or are you definitely going with a bun now?  Are you doing air brush make up?  I can't remember if you said you found an air brush MUA in NC?

No, I didn't see it.  Thanks for posting it again.  I've been meaning to check back, but didn't get around to it yet.

I think I'm going to make my next hair appointment which is this Saturday my next hair trial.

I'm not going with the Eva Longoria look.  I tried it last Wednesday when I took my bridals and discovered that it will not work for me.  I sweated it out so quickly.  I am going to do the bun, much to my chagrin, because I wanted a different style from my everyday, but I think it will be a modified everyday for me because I'm going to incorporate pin curls.  See the look below:

I don't think I'll do the tendrils in the front.  I'll probably just do a swoop side bang thingee.

I did find an airbrush makeup artists, and I'm going to have a makeup trial the day we take our engagement pictures.  Did I tell you that I also found a vineyard to take our pics.  It is the cutest little family owned vineyard.  I believe that we can get some good shots there.  The grapevines aren't that mature, but I still think that it will look nice and people will get that we are at a vineyard.  They have the most awesome wine.  I got a text from my supervisor on Saturday letting me know that they were having free tastings, so we went out there.  Even their reserves were free to taste.  There is another wine there that I absolutely love that we didn't get.  I think it was called Traminette.  I think I'm going to get a bottle of it the next time we go out there.

That is so cool of your supervisor to let you know about that vineyard!  I'm so glad you found somewhere you like for your e-pics.  Is it free or low cost to shoot there since it's family owned?   Totally off subject, but are there any black owned vineyards that you know of?  Just curious...

I think the bun with pin curls will be a gorgeous look and much lower maintenance than the Eva style.  You will not have to think about your hair all day!!!

That is so exciting that you found a MUA that does air brush.  I can't wait to hear about your experience.  So please remind me (I know you told me before but I'm losing my mind!) when you are taking the e-pics?

You know I just thought about your post regarding the thank you parasol.  I'm so pumped up about DIY, but I just realized that I haven't DIY'ed a damn thing.  I need to just stop and go order the parasol from Etsy or Trash to Treasure and call it a day.  Who am I fooling.  I'm too lazy, too unskilled and I'm running out of time.  I  have been planning this DIY "Party" with my bridal party for two months now, but something "just so happens to come up" every single time.  I just don't think I want to do it.

    Anywho....

Yeah, my supervisor is cool.  I was telling the people at the vineyard that I received a text from her about the free tasting, and I bet they were like, you and your supervisor must be real cool.  She's actually not my supervisor anymore, but I'm just so used to calling her that.  They recently switched me over into another department. I miss her.  But yeah, she knows that I love wine, and she's like in all of these wine clubs.  I also asked for her advice on vineyards that I should take my pics at, and she reccomended this vineyard.  They do not charge at this vineyard....thank goodness.  You know, I don't know of any black owned vineyards.  I was just telling FI that we should start our own vineyard.  LOL.  Yeah right.  We are not that knowledgeable.  We're just novices.  But that  would be cool.

Yeah, I think the bun is the look I'm going to go with.  I think you're right, it will be stress free.  The last hair trial the girl attempted that look, but it didn't turn out right.  I think that I hated the front more than anything.

I will see how things go with this airbrush makeup artist.  I like the way the girl did my makeup at MAC, but I think my eyes were a little too dramatic.  They love to say that they're going to keep it natural but they just want to make sure that it shows up in pictures.  Well, technology has improved a lot, and with HD cameras, you son't have to go over board.  I'm not a makeup person, so I don't want to look like Ronald McDonald on my wedding day.

I am taking my e-pics this Sunday, so wish me luck.  I think that they will turn out nice.  I really like my photographer and I think that she will do a great job.

I read your response to me regarding Foreign Exchange. I am too jealous.  I have to tell my FI what you said.

Girl I am a loser when it comes to DIY - I always thought I would do at least a few things, but I just cannot bring myself to do it.  And I have over a year out!  LOL - oh well.  You did your own invites though, right?   That was huge!

You should DEFINITELY start your own vineyard!  FI and I would drive down to visit!!  :)

MAC MUAs have a tendency to go heavy on the make up sometimes - and I totally agree that with today's technology you don't have to pile on the make up anymore!  I'm a less is more person, so I'm trying to find pics online of make up I like...that is beautiful but subtle.  Have you found any pics that you are giving your MUA?  Can you post them?  I have a feeling I'd like whatever you like for make up!

Good luck on the E-Pics!!  I will be thinking about you.  But I'm sure we'll chat on the board before then.  So you are wearing the purple dress and accessories, which is extra cute.  Are you changing outfits or wearing that one the entire time?
