A little lost about wedding recessional

Hey all! I kinda dont get it.  What happens when a person walks down the aisle.  What about when the wedding party walks down?  I want to have a group sing the BM's down the aisle then I want my cousin to sing Dangerously In love by Beyonce for me to walk down the aisle to.  Is this typical? Does the wedding party walk to a different song then I do? And if so what is a song that a group can sing as they walk down the aise?  Its not like they are the ones getting married so it wouldnt be a wedding song right? I am so lost.  Thanks

I'm thinking that you are talking about the processional...You can use more than one song. We are using two songs for the wedding party and then for myself. The song for myself we aren't using the whole song so I am giong to edit it down to just the part that I want.

Are you having a professional DJ doing the music? If so talk to them about it and they can edit and everything for you to work with what you want. If you are having someone else do it make sure you are clear on what you want and maybe you can work together and practice it a lot during rehersal.

I'm doing all of my own music editing and it will all be on my laptop so I will work with the sound person at the church so at rehersal everyone has it down. Uhhh Hard Work.

To Clarify...the Recessional is at the end when you are pronounced husband and wife and you walk back down the asile out.

Girl you're totally right you walk down to one song and they walk down to another. For my BP they're walking down to You and I by Stevie Wonder. Im walking down to I choose you by Ryan Leslie(my bestfriend will be singing it.)   Im sorry Im know help with any suggestions on other songs the group could sing. Did you ask them if they had any ideas? BTW Dangerously in Love is my JAM!! I love BEY!!! LOL. I was going to add that song in somewhere but changed my mind lol. Great PICK!!

That's what we are doing. We will actually have three songs, one for the lighting of candles, seating of families, then one for the bridal party, and then the song that I will walk down on. Yes this is perfectly fine! :)

@Kristi-I Choose You by Ryan Leslie is going to be our first dance song!!! That is great that you will walk down the aisle to it!!! First one FI and I both agreed on :)

Yes I will have a DJ, I guess he will be playing the instrumental for Dangerously in Love? The group is accapella so they will do their own thing. I am just hoping that it will go fine from the group singing accapela to my cousin singing with the music because they will be one song (from the group) right in front of the singing for me.

Usually with the recessional, the bride and groom walk out first and the music is more upbeat and celebratory.

If you can locate a post with winter443 in it (check the random game thread), you might be able to find song suggestions in her bio. When I first got on here, hers was one that I used for musical inspiration.
