Ladies, please tell me...WHY ARE CAKE STANDS SO EXPENSIVE? I am looking for an 18 INCH silver cake stand and they run over 70 bucks..SMH

I know!  I plan to rent one and the one my cake lady has costs $50.  Ridiculous!  I was going to go without one but I think that with the look I'm going for, a silver cake stand is necessary.  Luckily, my flower people knows a company that will rent for $25.  But $70...that's insane.

Have you tried looking on Ebay? I've found a lot of my wedding stuff on there for cheap!

WOW! I didnt know they cost that much...the pastry chef I'm considering is having a special for free cake stand if you book by Jan 31st, I might have to get going then!
