I meant at the actually wedding reception. Did you have any wedding crashers/add-ons just show up. How did you cope and what did you do about these non rsvp people or people bringing extra guests?

OMG!!! Its one of my biggest regrets of the wedding! We only had two crashers but those two screwed up our whole seating plan on four tables! It was like Dominoes....

In retrospect, we should have left 1-2 extra chairs/spaces at each table for those who brought a guest or simply crashed. It would have made everything so much better!

Ugh... we had a few people who showed up after not RSVPing (or answering our calls...smh). I had one table in the back with some space (hey, if you don't RSVP, why should you get prime seating?). I wouldn't leave an empty seat at every table because then you have those guests that want to upgrade themselves (yeah, noticed that too).

Also, there will always be people who DO RSVP and then not show up for whatever reason so that's also backup space. My DOC made sure everyone had a seat and I never knew anything about it until we walked around and said hi to everyone.

I was angry for a split second when I noticed certain people at the wedding. But then I just felt like f it. Your the ones with out a seat or plate. Because we gave instructions to only put out what we paid for nothing extra. Honestly by the reception, it just worked itself out. Some people that rsvpd didnt show. So the extras just filled in those spots. It all worked aout in the end. Hell majority of the guset said that they filled up at the cocktail hour. So a lot of the dinners didnt even get eaten.

With 9 days left and sending the final count Tuesday..this post was sooooo needed.  BTW-  RSVP deadline was Sept 7...why did FI's uncle say he would let him know by Sunday..as in this Sunday?  WTF?  The seating chart will be completed by then!!!!
