The voicemail thingy

Hello guys,

A few weeks ago (cant find the post) we discussed a free voicemail number that could be setup for RSVPs. ANyone remember the information for that?

It's Google Voicemail. Don't have the link b/c I'm at work. Admallard is the one who posted it. Let me look for the thread, I'm the one that started it.

Has anyone actually used it & had no problems? I would worry about not hearing correctly, static lines, etc. Please let me know cause I'm thinking about doing this.

Thank you Ty. Lil I was thinking that but Im also putting an email adress as an option, google is pretty reliable too

Like Ty stated, I used it and it was a huge success. All I did was set up a number with google voice, recorded a message, and put the number on the RSVP card. When guest called the number they simply stated their RSVP and I got a notification by text message that someone had left a message. Everything was clear...I was able to understand all the messages. It works just like your cell phone voicemail. I would recommend it. We used the phone number for the older guests and the website for the younger guest to RSVP.

I'm definitely using google talk! I spent sooo much wasted money on postage last time I sent out invites! I had to track people down for RSVP's and I still never got some back. They said they didn't know they were suppose to send them back.

So this time around I'm doing RSVP's through google talk and our wedding website. Hopefully I will get better responses this way.
