On the day of the wedding, everything was perfect! The staff was so friendly on the day of and offered great service to all of our guests. Our friends and family were happy. And- I know that everyone probably says this about the venue, but I have to say that the food was DELICIOUS. Seriously. Everyone will tell you the food at your wedding tastes great. Don’t take my word for it- my DH’s parents are huge culinary aficionados and they are picky about their salmon. . . not one scrap was left on their plate. One thing that is tough about this particular venue is the lack of space for the bride to get ready. There was a misunderstanding or miscommunication about fees just before the wedding and though it was a bit frustrating, things were worked out so both parties were happy. Seriously, though, absolutely everything ran smoothly, tasted fabulous and we could not have asked for a better place. PHOTOG: Winnie Forbes Photography- A++ We LOVED her. She is so comfortable and easy to work with and very creative with her framing. If I could post all of our pics, I would. I have been recommending her to everyone I know that has been planning weddings. DOC: Exquisite Events- A++ Emily is WONDERFUL! I highly recommend her. She was there for anything and everything for me. Even through the craziness with the venue and pricing changes. Also, she helped me to design the centerpieces, design layout and was there to make sure that everything ran smoothly. She is so easy going and has such wonderful ideas. The set-up looked even more special that I imagined- she definitely went above and beyond for us. She even sent me email reminders close to the wedding to make sure I was getting last minute things tied up in a timely manner. Honestly, the whole day would not have been the same if she was not there. CKAE: Morhpy’s Cakes- A+ Like the food, I have to say that Morphy’s was more delicious than any other wedding cake I have had. It was moist, savory and the icing (butter cream) wasn’t too sweet. Also, they were so flexible and understanding when we had to change the time of delivery because we changed ceremony locations to the reception site. Their customer service is fabulous too. At the tasting, Lisa had pre-made cake samples for us to try while we talked. DH and I mentioned that we would like a different filling, such as blackberry and right away, she went to the back and made us some blackberry filling, even though she didn’t have any ready, and made us some new cake samples. Out of all the cake tastings, we did not receive that type of a welcome. And they had the best prices to boot. HAIR: Dandelion Salon- A I really like these girls. They are fun and they are creative with their hair designs and were so great with fixing the hair of my BM’s and the moms on the spot (all from OOT and no hair trials for any of them). They were also so extremely flexible and opened the shop early for just us and also let us do our make-up and prep a little at the salon. (The wedding was at noon) BM DRESSES: Alfred Angelo- A All my BM’s were from OOT. AND, none of them live in the same city. . . Good thing Alfred Angelo is everywhere! My MOH and I were online all the time comparing dresses and AA was great when I went to a store to look at and try on some samples just to see what they look like off the hangers. Also, all the girls could order from and get alterations at stores close to them because the dye lots didn’t matter- and all the colors were the same. They looked fabulous. ALTERATIONS (for the bride): Deb Hedeen- A What else can I say about Deb that hasn’t already been said on the Knot?! She was great. I did not need many alterations, but she was fast, the dress looked great, the bustle held ALL DAY long and she even steamed it for me and held the dress until the week of the wedding. I highly recommend her. Flowers, Makeup, Officiant, Transportation, Music were all friends and they were fabulous. We had such an unforgettable time! J Also- I have some items for sale in case anyone is interested. Because of my rigorous school schedule, I haven’t had a chance to take and post pics- just email me if you’re interested: iamtheloraxx
