What are you doing...

So I've been seeing a lot of DGW or just weddings in general that the bride has her e- ring on.  I have 2 bands and I was planning on wearing my e- ring on my right hand when I walk down the aisle and have him place my bands on during the exchange of rings.  Then I would put my e- ring on my left hand after the ceremony.  I originally went with this b/c I just didn't want to be without my ring, lol.  But now I don't know.  I say this b/c I could give him my e- ring right before the ceremony since we're doing a first look anyway.  That way I will have it for my getting ready pics.  Idk.  What do you ladies suggest?

  • I am keeping my ring. I will wear it on my right hand during the ceremony and then after the ceremony, put it on top of my band. For me it just makes more sense to do it this way. Plus, I want to have my ring for my getting ready pictures.

  • My "something borrowed & blue" is a ring with a blue stone that I will wear on my right hand so my FI will put both my band and E-ring on my left finger after we exchange vows.

My band is an enhancer. I will combine the two rings before the ceremony and walk down with nothing on my hand.
  • FI was crazy when he proposed... he gave me the entire set, not thinking that he was supposed to keep the band for when we get married. So, he has decided to give me a totally new ring. I am wearing the engagement on my right hand, so that I can have something for my pictures. I will take the engagement off once we exchange rings, and he will put the new ring on my left hand.

  • I believe FI is either getting me a band or an enhancer...I said I would just give him my e-ring the night before....I guess we will see when it gets closer to the time.

This is what I did.. I had my enchancer and my E-ring soldered together to make one big FABULOUS ring..lol.. I went without a ring on my finger for 2 WEEKS!!.. I didn't see them again until he put it on my finger during the ceremony.. and I wouldn't have had it any other way... it made it so much more special!....

  • I want 2 bands, so I will probably have my E-ring on my right hand and then transfer after the ceremony.

My set has 2 bands and one band was already soldered to my E-ring so I had those two on my right hand during the ceremony and he just put the other band on during the actual ceremony and then I transferred it right after.

I think this was best because I wanted my e-ring for the getting ready pics. Plus our photographer wanted to get a pic of both his and my rings and luckily I had both of them and then I just had someone get all the rings to the best man right before the ceremony.

  • Thanks ladies!  I think I'm gonna stick with the original plan and keep my e-ring on my right hand and have him place the bands on my finger and move the e-ring over after the ceremony.

  • I plan on walking down with noting on. We have been ring shopping and everything I like has a band so I am going to walk down the aisle with no rings on!
  • I didn't know this was a thing, traditionally are you not supposed to wear your e-ring down the aisle?

esha I'm in brain freeze mode, what's dgw?
  • FBIL will have both rings from the RD to the moment we walk down the aisle; then he's putting it on the ringbearing item and taking them off when it's time.

You're really going to do that??? MY RB will have faux rings on the pillow and the Best Man will have the rings. But that's because I'm having all the kids in the WP sit down during the ceremony.
