I know...I was watching football with FI at the time, then we worked on some wedding stuff, then I left...lol. I JUST walked in the door at home, ate something, and came to check to see what I missed. LOL...sorry!

My FI has two children already but we hope to have 1-2 more. We will probably try to wait a year or two, but no one believes we will last that long.

What has been the best part of the wedding planning so far?  The worst?
 
The best part has been sharing the anticipation with my FI...the worst has been paying the bills.

What has been the comment you've received on your STDs that meant the most to you?

My circle of friends has had many weddings over the past year...so the comment that meant the most was one I got via text today from my friend who said "So I'm taking (insert friend's name here) down to put you up. So cute. Y'all make me proud. Go black love!"

Has it been difficult with FI having two children - do they live nearby, are you involved with them/their lives, do you get along with their mother(s)? 

It does get to be challenging sometimes. There is a really weird situation with his ten year old daughter that is pretty touchy. Things aren't quite so complex with his six year old son. His mother is great and he's grown up having me around so he's as happy about getting another mommy as we are to be forming a family. I pray that things will get easier all around though. I do love the kids and am usually around whenever he has them.

I would have stuck with original color scheme that I had picked for our wedding prior to our engagement. FI hated it. I wanted a vintage theme with my same dress and venues, but with ivory, vintage rose, and gold as the colors. I had bridesmaids dresses picked out and place settings and everything. I think I'm still a little bummed that he didn't like it. Maybe when we renew...

If we were able to have the lifestyle that we both want right now on one salary, sure, I'd stay at home. I'd have to keep busy with volunteering and shopping...lol...but I could do it. I want to stay at home for the first few months and maybe even a couple years after we have our child together, but I think once I find my career-calling, I'd have to get back on the grind. We've talked about it and neither of us are against it if we ever find ourselves to be able to do the things we need and want on one salary. Right now, we have some saving and investing to do in order to get to that point. We are quite comfortable, but not wealthy as we hope to be someday.

Thanks for answering Eagles!!  I love your first wedding colors - the vintage look is so gorgeous.  I hope you are able to use them for your renewal!!!! 

What specifically are you doing at your wedding to represent your Greek status (for you and for FI).  For instance, will the Ques serenade you, do some stepping, etc.?

We will do my Sweetheart Song after the dances followed by the wedding stroll that my line sisters and I made up for each other's weddings...we do it to Beyonce's "Diva" and the bride always leads it. This is the only stroll I do because I have no rhythm so I'm going to start practicing soon so that I don't feel so nervous!

After that, FI and his bruhs will sing the Omega song and I will run for my life as the DJ will give me just a few seconds after they finish before he plays George Clinton's "Atomic Dog"...pray for me on that part!

The Young & the Restless...I love that show and FI hates soap operas so I have to watch when he isn't around or else I have to put up with the grumbles.

I have no real idea of what I want to do with the rest of my life...everyone that knows me well tags me as being smart, which means I should have it all together, but I can't focus cause I don't know where my passion lies.
