Caterer Recommendations?

Anyone have any recommendations for a CHEAP caterer in western washington? When I say cheap, I mean cheap. Like less than $15 dollars per person. I have heard some people suggest that I hire a caterer that is comfortable with me setting out some non-catered foods (like candies, dips, etc). Is that even possible? Thank you all so much for your help :)

Oh, and I plan on going to Kingsley's Dimensional Desserts for my wedding cake, so they have to be comfortable with me getting a cake somewhere else.

I remember meeting Barry's Catering at a venue open house, and they said they had menus at around $17 pp. This includes the staff for the day of. They were super nice, and the food they brought was delicious too.

You might call around to some of your favorite restaurants. "Ethnic" food is often much less expensive than "wedding" food. So Indian restaurants, Mexican, BBQ, Thai - those guys may be able to get close to your number. Also, I think the cheapest way to go is to go get your food from the restaurant in big chafing tins (or have them bring it) and set it up to whatever you're serving yourselves. Good luck!

Depending on the formality of the wedding - my FI and I are considering BBQ for the wedding.  Jaspars Smokehouse (http://www.jaspersbbq.com/) has menus starting at $13/person.  That also includes service, and disposable plates, utensils, and napkins. For a casual wedding I don't think that price can be beat!!!

Flame catering is very inexpensive, like $10/pp.  Also, Seasoned in Seattle is great and they have some BBQ menus around $15.

Although, a lot have minimums, which may be a problem depending on your date and your guest count.

New York Catering in Enumclaw is very good, and has a lot of dinner menus under $15 per person (and if you don't see anything you like, he's willing to work with you to create a menu you like at a price you like).  I think they don't really do cakes, so they won't care if you get a cake else where.  They only do buffet, but as long as you don't mind that, they are great.

As Jennuine suggest, Flame, and also Renton Technical College catering.  Both are probably the cheapest ones I've seen.
