My Goodness

Never in my whole life I would have thought that planning a wedding is this hard. It's decision after decision. Then once I think I have my mind made up about something I start to second guess it. I asked Fi did he just want to go to the courthouse because honey this is just to much for me. Of course he said no. One day I want a venue with a package so I can I dont have to do much work then on the other hand I say well I want a venue that I can put my personal touch on I want it to feel more ME or Us.
Ok I just had to get that off my chest.

You sound like me...some advice, do with it what you will...you can put a personal touch on any space. Packages definitely make it easier and although the upfront costs may seem absurd, I wish we would have gone that route cause we are definitely going to be personal AND way over budget when all is said and done. I'm at the point now that I'm not even stressing it and I feel myself getting caught up in the "I only get one wedding" hype...good luck with your decisions. You have some time...just breathe and don't rush into any decisions. I have now changed three of my vendors after signing contracts...much happier now, but wasted deposits. Not cool.

This is me all the way....I started out with a budget and that soon went out the door.  I say do what makes you happy. Either way I think you can still add your personal touch to it.  When I started out I struggled with trying to make decision, but now I just make them and move on.  I think that's what kept me sane during this process.

Good luck with your decision, but I am sure you'll be fine either way.

We went with a package and are soooooo happy we did.  Also, you can put a personal touch on a package by changing and adding things..this we did.  In the end, you may find, even you upgrade here and there, that the package was well worth the price (monetarily and for your sanity).  We started with a budget and were able to stay within the budget (give a few hundred...I'll have exact figures when I am fully awake).  HTH
