Half-Way Married!!!

YAAAAAY! I went and picked up m marriage certificate today at the courthouse.  It wasnt at all what I expected but hey its done.  It was interesting watching other couples that came to get theirs as well or complete their process.  Some of the couples even came dressed up which in my mind was much, considering all we did was raise our right hand and swear to the information being correct (but hey, to each his own).

Now time to go back to running myself ragged.

Surprisinlgy I was the only one with a ring of the four couples I saw.  You aent the only one that looked at rings.  One of the girls came in all white.  I was wide-eyed at that.  I say that because everyone sits in a large room (traffic tickets, misdemeanors, civil suits, marriage, etc.) and you wait for your number to be called and then you go to the window.  Funny thing is, everytime they called the numbers to go to the marriage window everyone sitting around would watch to see the couple that was walking up since they knew what the window was for.

LOL! At the downtown Houston county clerk's office, it's just a big room. But it's the same room where you get your DBAs at. lol. No one was in there when we went.

I wish no one would have been there when I went.  Trust, you had every kind of person there.  I dont think it would have been as packed if I had gotten there earlier but my Pastor doesnt really have a "sense of time".  We were waiting for him to swing by my parents house and sign the letter to verify thatwe took our premarital course and apply the church seal to the letter.

Im happy we did that cause we saved $33 on the certificate. I love to save!

Congrats!!! We got ours last week and didn't have to do nothing but sign on the dotted line. I was waiting for something more like to be sworn in or something. We don't even need any witnesses!

Thanks! Yeah, my fiance wondered about witnesses and I just assumed they would have someone there to sign and act as one.

Congrats!  We were one of the corny couples who semi dressed up to go get our marriage certificate.  LOL!  FI even took me to lunch right before we went over to the courthouse, so we made it a date.     There was only one other couple in the marriage office, and they had a child with them and looked stressed out while they were on the computer trying to fill in their information.
