Programs??? Where do I start?

My DOC called and said I need to make an outline of our ceremony so that she and I can begin putting it together for the program (is it time for that ALREADY?????). I have the design I want already, but I don't even know where to begin with this. Keep in mind that I have NEVER been to or in a wedding, so I am completely lost. HELP!!!! LOL

THIS is where Google is your friend... also think about what you've always wanted for YOUR day. Readings? Music? Poems? Traditional vs Non Traditional? Unity Candle Ceremony? Spiritual? More secular?

It's SO much to think about but I'd start on the broad side and then start to narrow things down from there. Don't hold back... make sure you make your dream ceremony comes out on paper. After that your DOC can say "yes this works" or "back to the drawing board"

Make sure you don't hold ANYTHING back, k? Promise?

Yes, definitely google image "wedding programs" and you can see what other people have done and how programs normally flow.  I think looking at other programs should get the juices flowing.  Good luck!

You can also ask the person marrying you. Our Officiant gave me the outline & all I had to do was add the names of those singing, reading poems, etc. However, I did use google to find different layouts & templates.

I agree with everyone else. I googled "wedding program examples" and found several to give me an idea on how it should flow.
