Coming Out of a Planning Rut

Ok ladies...

I have been in a planning rut...

I am almost at the 6 month mark and I REALLY need to get going!

I have been stressing and not wanting to take initiative on things but I REALLY REALLY need to...

I am puling myself out of the rut and I am going to be going FULL FORCE ahead.

We need to get this taken care of.

So...here is to planning...

I was just thinking about you and your planning situation today. I am happy that you are feeling up to the challenge again. I know things will work out, but I can only imagine how stressed you have been. Just try to stay focused on the big picture...your marriage and your family. The wedding is just for one day...your family will be forever.

Sidenote: I totally admire how you have kept this board going even with everything you have been dealing with. You are awesome. *knottie hug*

I have NOTHING but the photographer and my B-Pics session (June 13).

I have a few front runners in terms of venue...I just need to do a pros and cons and go from there but mt heart is at the White House so we will see.

I have a planner (she was the planner we had before) but she is NOT working for me...she has offered her services for free BUT turns out my friend told her I needed help, I didnt have a venue, I cant afford her, etc...so now I feel STUCK but she is really irking me!

I told her NO hotels, NO restaurants, NO bridal shows...she IGNORED what I told her...WTF?!? I feel like I can plan this whole d*mn wedding ALONE! I dont need the extra stress.

For example, I told her I had 10 appts last weekend to go see venues. She called me FIVE TIMES and texted me...LEAVE ME ALONE! If you knew I had to do all of this, why didnt you call me on Monday evening?

She is just BUGGING me and it is driving me up the wall!!!

As far as Fantasea Yachts goes, its about to get ugly. They told 2 of my friends they were booked BUT when I called they told me that they were not booked so I will be getting affadavits from my friends...UGH!

So yea, that is what I have been dealing with...

It's fine... You need to vent and thats what we are here for.

This planner....... Is she of any benefit or trying to point you in the right direction of things? What was the purpose for the blow ups of texting and messages? And if you told her no bridal shows, restaurants, hotels, etc, why would you she bring those to you? She got me confused lol.

Venues.... You are at the 6 month mark. You really gotta lock something in and don't wait last minute because you do not want to have to have your wedding at a place you are not happy with.

Do you need some help in researching and phone calls. I am in North Carolina but I have internet and a cell phone. Just let me know.

And Fantasae Yachts... Isnt this the place you had your heart set on initially? If they aren't booked then what's the problem with going with them or are they booked and something else is going on? Maybe you need to refresh my memory about that place again.

The planner is not benefiting me at all...I still feel like this is all on me...

She was blowing me up to see how my appointments went...but if you knew I had all these appointments, why didnt you wait until Monday evening instead of catching me in the middle or after my appointments???

I feel like she is bring HER vision to me and I dont like it!

Fantasea is where we booked but pulled out. We are looking to get our deposit back BUT it has to be booked before we can get it back...no matter what, we lose $1,000.

I don't like when people force things on you. I had a florist meeting where she kept writing down stuff that I said that I didn't want. She just kept saying it would be beautiful.

I feel you tyswife2b. I need to get out of a planning rut too. I was just reading my wedding related plans for the weekend and had deja vu. I wrote the same plans down for the past three weekends, so what does that tell you? I'm getting nothing done! LOL. I'm sorry to hear that you are going through so much drama. I hope that you find a venue soon. I was looking up the white house and they have a Barack Obama room!!!! That's awesome. I hope that you can book that venue.

Alright Tyswife2be we are going to come out of this rut together. I don't know what to say about that planner. It seems she's adding to your stress instead of taking away. But its going to get better I can feel it!!!
