first the dj said he dosent quote his prices in emails so i went through the knot and found several messages about him first off hes really good and the best at what he does secondl this is what he said
5 hour reception package is 2500.  This includes a separate cocktail system under the rotunda and 4 Bose speakers in the main hall. Two speakers on the dance floor by my table and two closer to your guests. (Far side of the dance floor.)

If you want 100% perfect audio coverage it will be 3800. This will get the cocktail system outside and 8 Bose speakers in the main ballroom.  Two on the dance floor by my table area and 6 more surrounding your guests from all corners of the room. 

With the 4 speakers the room will sound good.  Only if the Bose Line Array towers are used. *Key aspect to making sure the room proper.
 

for a dj ? I dont know girls would you?

Wow! I'm with Nursing. If its in your budget and you want him.....but that's pretty pricey. Have you checked other DJ prices in the area? Are they comparable?

ummmm....my DJ is 400....BUT if you got it like that...then by all means....for that...hell id bring my own damn iPod with 5 hrs of music lol

I just spoke with him i said that i can do it my damn self. he is negotiating but still
if i refused to pay a day of wedding planner  2500.00 i damn sure not paying  a dj 3800.00 i dont care how good you are.  that would have to include ever party i throw for the next five years

Thats a lot. my DJ was 400 as well and he is a radio personality.  Maybe do some more research. I feel like you can hype up your own party if the dj plays the right music.  Since we have a pretty good music list posted on here I would try to do some research to see if there is someone else you like.  It seems to me you are just paying for the name.

OMG what else is he doing for 3800 besides playing music??? He better be bringing the cake some food, flowers, linen, uplighting, favors, candy tables and djing for my shower...bridal and baby and for my hubbys batchelor party...i mean err'thang lol...dude out of his mind sorry

stop the press...for 3,800 what is he going to make the music do? Is it going to be injected into your blood and make you buckjump with any effort from you? I mean damn...you just want your guests to dance and have a good time..but what is he really doing for almost 4k?
