African American Weddings

Question -

Ladies, have any of you had to change your date? How did you feel?

I had to push the wedding back an extra 4 months, I felt bad cause it was 7 months away and now its 11 months.  We've been together 10 years so I am tired of waiting.  BUT, I am telling myself that 4 months is not that long and hopefully I will get over it :)

We changed our date twice.... From October to December then to April! When we changed from October to December I felt bad because ppl had already purchased plane tickets but they were able to transfer them.

I think those four months will go fast... they definitely flew by for us!

I'm changing mine from October 2011 to October 2012.  I was upset at first, but realized that changing would be the better decision for us financially.  Hopefully, the time will fly by...

I was engaged once before and had to push the date back about 2 times.  When ex and I broke up, he said he was always glad that date kept getting pushed back because he wasn't ready.  Looking back on it, of course he wasn't.  lol.  I didn't like pushing it back because I always felt like the day was out of reach.

Anyway, the time will fly by.  You will be there in no time.

We changed our date 3 times. I wanted the wedding sooner than later, but I finally came to the realization that the 3rd date we chose (June) was best because I was done with school for the semester.
