Too much food??

Laides - I'm trying to determine how much food we will need at the cocktail hour so we can start paying on that but I really am torn with the amount of items we should order.  Based on our buffet menu here, do you think the items at the bottom are enough, too much or not enough for roughly 200 guests? TIA

I cannot tell by reading your post the portions size (amount) the venue serves.

As long as the cocktail hour serves enough for each person to have 2 or 3 pieces of hor d'oeuvres you will be okay.

I think you have the right amount/or too much. You have variety, however I would add something Vegetarian.  4 different choices is good, you could cut the antipasto and either do veggie's and cheese, leave all the rest out.  Your guests will be full before the meal even comes out.

Are these going to be passed or just out on a presentation table?

Agree with PP, you've got a great selection but I see nothing for a vegetarian. Your cocktail hour also looks good!

Thanks for the insight ladies.  I think we are going to just keep things the way they are until the date gets closer.  I really would rather have enouh food per person than run the risk of not having enough for all.  Although I can say the main cocktail pkg does provide enough for 4 pieces per person.  The added items were just fillers.  The majority will be butler passed.  As for dinner, there isn't a vegetarian option within the buffet packages.  Thankfully, we don't know that anyone is vegetarian on either side of the family.  But I will keep that in mind
