Hello Everyone,
I am new to the board, but I have been reading some of the posts so I thought I would put one up as well. I already feel like I am a part of the family just by reading the posts. :-) Anyway, I am getting married to the most fantastic man in the world on May 18, 2013. I am so excited because it has been a long time coming. Anyway, I got engaged in August and I have gotten a lot done (At least I would like to think so). I have my dress, all my bridesmaids have their dresses and their shoes. I have my venue. I have booked my counseling sessions. I started purchasing my bridesmaids gifts. I am 98 percent done with my website. I have my veil. Now I need some help. My theme is music and memories, so I am trying to think of things to incorporate to make the wedding fantastic. Here is what I have so far:
1. Records as guest books (two records will have a picture of us in the middle and people will use a silver sharpie to sign)
2. The flower girls will sprinkle music notes and rose petals down the aisle.
3. The place cards will have music notes on them.
4. I will have a where were you when you heard this song segment.
5. We are putting pictures of us from birth to now all around the venue. It will have different guests in the pictures so they will bring back memories.
6. The DJ is going to play a snippet of wedding songs of people that are attending the wedding.
Any ideas you can provide will be so helpful and appreciated.
Also, I was wondering if anyone had ceiling draping at their wedding. I am contemplating this but I am not sure if I am ready to take the plunge yet. Well thanks in advance knotties for any info and advice you can provide.
