Right before our wedding I remembered about those free gifts when you register for $X amount of certain brands. I did some googling and found forms and sent them in. I had forgotten about them again so it was a nice surprise today to receive Wustof kitchen shears and a Calphalon knife. Both actually feel like pretty nice quality.
And for us married hags, some companies also offer some completion gifts (i.e., when $X amt is purchased off your registry).
