Photo Sharing Sites - Which One?

Hi Everyone,

I want to make a photo sharing site and distribute cards at the reception, like this...

http://www.weddingbee.com/2008/08/29/wedding-ideas-share-photos-sharing/

What site did you use for sharing?

I'm hesitant to give the account and PW since then guests would have full control of the account to delete photos etc...but I don't want to make it TOO complicated for my technologically challenged guests. Thoughts?

The one people have been talking about lately is iRave.com. I think it works more like e-mail, where you have like a specific address that they e-mail to. No login required. However, I don't know very much about it. Worth checking out :o)

We finally just asked our friends and family to upload their pictures to Picasa web albums so we could download them all for free.  You get pretty good resolution, and you don't have to pay for anything when you do it that way.  irave looked ok, but I think you have to pay to download whole albums (the fast way to do it); although you don't have to pay to download individual photos (which would have been really slow since people had SO many from their trips that we wanted).

I've raved about it before, but I do really like irave, though like carrie said, you have to pay if you want to mass download an album in one go rather than download them individually. I don't really have a problem downloading individually though so it works for me and it's pretty easy for people to use I think.

    Here's an example:

You can email photos to: TheKnotPublic@bearsinlove.irave.com
    Or upload it to: http://bearsinlove.irave.com/TheKnotPublic

Or you can try out this feature:

    Email: TheKnotPassword@bearsinlove.irave.com
    http://bearsinlove.irave.com/TheKnotPassword
    Password: knotties

Protip: I prefer using the HTML view rather than the irave flash view. It lags less and is easier to navigate.

I don't know if its what you are looking for but our family uses snapfish ALOT. We all just go on there and upload our photos and you can invite people to view your photos through email. Plus its free to use and you get 20 free prints when you sign up. We like it cuz you can order prints even from other families albums and even do the creating thing (like books, coffee cups, that type of stuff.) Hope that helps!
