Saving $$$ Question??

Hello Ladies...

I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend! I am new to planning and getting married 5.31.14. :) I am so very excited! 

I have a question to ask seasoned past brides or anyone in general...How are you ladies saving for your big days? My FI and I are young (ish) lol..and looking for ways to save money. My family will contribute a generous amount, but we want to be able to put in our fair share. 

I am aware of cutting costs by having a Friday or Sunday wedding, but do not want to look at that as an option unless I really have to. The guest list is 100 people, and an early Sat wedding.  

Any advice would be most welcome and appreciated!

    Hello, welcome and CONGRATS! I was a budget bride. We also had a 100 person guestlist. We made our own invites, I diy'd alot of other things such as bouquets, bouts, draping, etc .... using coupons to buy EVERYTHING. Buying wedding party gifts on clearance, But what really saved us money was having the wedding in the back of a restaurant (didn't charge room fee- only pp) and enlisting friends/family to help. My cousin took pictures, another friend dj'd, etc...
