How Generous is Your Menu?

Our dinner menu consist of one of the plated options: chicken, pork or vegetarian option of pasta. My mom said said we should have fish but our venue price the higher amount meal for all guests no matter if only half pick the higher entree option. Fish cost $5 more, then multiply times 200pp. That was a no go! I felt bad for the orginal option of pork or chicken,so we added  pasta(no additional cost). I figured all my guests should be able to find something to eat out the three. I've been to a wedding where they had the choice of chicken cordon bleu and ham. Well ham is stuffed in the chicken, so what option was that for non pork eaters?

    My venue fortunately allowed for me to have individual fishes of chicken fish or some beef option (cant remember the name right now).  For the same price we can make a duet plate, so Im doing a duet of chicken and mahi mahi with a starch and veggie. Havent had my tasting yet, so Im not sure on the starch as of yet.

    This was an issue for me at 2 weddings! The options were chicken cordon bleu or pork, I dont eat pork soo.... yea a side of steamed veggies for me. I think the pasta option or a chicken dish like marsala gives the most options

    I'm doing a buffet with chicken and fish and a beef carving station... plus all the sides for any non-meat eaters (I think there's only one).

    I am doing chicken cordon bleu with sides and we are still trying to pick the other option. It will be either a bleu cheese bacon burger, roast, or a chicken dish

    We are doing a buffet that is chicken, beef or vegan. They should all be happy :)

    Thankfully my venue is generous with the meal selections. Once the guests are seated they will be asked by 1 waiter per table what they would like to have which they can choose between 1 chicken dish, 1 fish dish, and 1 beef dish. If they're vegeterian they get a pasta dish. The dinner is 4 course {appetizer, intermezzo, main entree, and a plated dessert}

    We had a few vegetarians and a few non pork eaters and our Italian venue allowed us 4 entree options. We had Roasted Pork Loin, Chicken Parmisan, Lasagna with meat sauce and Spaghetti with marinara sauce and that covered everyone.  It was served family style so people could eat as much or as little as they wanted. Plus we had 3 appetizers, bread, salad, and wedding cake and ice cream. There was SOMUCHFOOD.  Almost too much, really!

    Because we are catering to different cultures we have two seperate buffets. One with traditional african foods that consists of pork, beef, chicken, rice and stews. And the other buffet will have pastas, seafood,veggies, and beef carving station. I think we will have something for everyone.

    My menu consists of chicken chicken and more chicken.

    I am having a small reception at a restaurant here in NYC and choose to have a buffet with mainly italian dishes which all the meats - appetizer and entree's consist of chicken. I will also be having pasta but chicken is the main draw...

    It is what I can afford as opposed to having it at a hall which isn't my style. I want my guests to be relaxed and having fun in a great location with lots of transportation.

    The restaurant is really good so my guests should enjoy everything. There will be open bar which makes me very happy....I think I may have a convo with the restaurant owner and ask if I can modify the menu somewhat as future hubby said he doesn't know what he's gonna eat because he doesn't do pasta....I like the little slider idea or burger as entree idea.....
