Court Wedding?

Hey ladies!

I hope your Sunday is enjoying that hot sun. Well FI and I just finished filling out my marriage application. Should we have a court wedding before our actual wedding? A good friend of ours is marrying us and he is not ordained and I don't think he wants to be ordained since he will do this once.

Well, you gotta make it legal somehow.  Why doesn't friend just get ordained online?  I don't get it.

If the friend isn't comfortable getting ordained through the Universal Life Church or another similar online church, then yes, you will need to do a court wedding prior.  MOH did that because her uncle who performed the ceremony is a minister but in TX, not WA.  Obviously due to his religious stance, he wasn't about to get ordained through an online church, so her and her DH went to the local courthouse a few weeks prior to be legally married.
