Staging an Exit?

What do you think? We don't have a time where we have to exit the venue, so FI wants to party! Granted we do have a time limit on the DJ.....however, I want to get pics of us leaving with the Sparkler exit. HOWEVER we only have our photographer for 8 hours and if I want her to get pics of me getting ready etc....then that isn't going to cut the timeline. What do I do?

My big sis suggested that we do a staged exit for photos sake....before people start leaving grab the sparklers have the exit photos and go right back inside to party!

Re: Staging an Exit?

  • how long before the actual end of the party would you do the "staged" exit?
    Anniversary
  • Have one of your guests take those pics. I don't think it would matter if you only had a handful of non-pro pics.

I don't know. We are ending at 12:30 / 1am because the DJ starts at 7:30pm.

<div>What time does your photographer have to leave? It might be one of those things that would kill a party if it is staged too close to the end of the party. Could you shift the time that the photographer starts? I know you want him/her to capture you getting ready but the getting ready of hair and make up might be easier to stage than the exit. </div>

<div>This. My photog suggested that we stage this part because most ppl do anyways. We are all about the exit . teehheehee</div><div>
</div><div>Another idea is to do a grand entrance in.</div><div>
</div><div>Our friend had everyone line up when they arrived from the ceremony to the reception and we cheered an sparklered as we entered the building.</div><div>

  • Yea I was going to say use the sparkles when you're entering the reception. My DJ suggested us staging our exit as well since we're having it at a hotel and we will be staying at the hotel that night. Maybe the DJ can make an annoucement saying this is only for picture purposes and that party is not ending yet.

Someone else suggested this to me as well. Because we are changing and leaving my wedding gown and his tux with my mom because we are leaving to go on HM the next morning.
