Timeline Help!

The time is flying by and I need to start thinking about a day of timeline. We are getting married a 6:00 PM on a Sunday about 10-15 mnutes away from my house. In addition to me getting ready, I have 3 daughters. I am going to send the boy with the FI. I will have my daughters' hair done the day before. i might get mine done the day before too (I always like it better the second day). Anyway that's all i got. Can you please provide som suggestions. thanks.

  • If you have a photog, ask him what will be the best timeline. ESP for photos. Since you live about 15 mins from site, I would allow 30 mins to venue. HTH....

  • I do not have a wedding party. Just the kids. The photographer is my FI's cousin and he will probably ask me what time I want him there lol

  • Here is something I found....take out what doesn't apply , fill in your times and go from there... 7:00 a.m. Get up and have a relaxing bath or shower. This will be your last moment alone during the day so enjoy the peace and quiet. 8:00 a.m. Have breakfast; you'll need your energy throughout the day. Many a bride has felt lightheaded or fainted for the simple reason that she skipped breakfast! 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Have your hair and make-up done. Don't forget to bring the bridal veil, tiara, flowers or any other hair accessories. Whether you hired a make-up artist or you're doing it yourself apply make-up in a room well lit with natural light. 11:00 a.m. The photographer and videographer (if you hired one) arrive to take pictures/video of you getting ready. 12:00 p.m. The bridal bouquet and other wedding flowers including boutonnieres and corsages are delivered. 1:00 p.m. The limousine arrives to take the bridal party to the ceremony location. 2:00 p.m. Meet the groom at the ceremony location and exchange your vows; you're now officially married. Congratulations! 3:00 p.m. Take photos; immortalize your special day in all its beauty and glory. 4:00 p.m. With your new husband host the receiving line to greet guests as they arrive for the wedding dinner and reception. 5:00 p.m. Raise your glass; the best man and the maid of honor give their speeches. Guests also toast the couple. 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Cut the wedding cake. According to wedding tradition the groom should place his hand over the bride's as they cut the cake together as a symbol of their shared future. This is also the ideal time to have your first dance as a married couple. 8:00 p.m. and later: Celebrate! Mingle with the guests, dance and laugh. This is your party have fun and enjoy it for all it's worth. The Wedding Party

  • I'm trying to think of some things that my friend did when she got married, we just tried to keep her calm as possible..

    1. we got up at 7:45 had breakfast and girl time (since your wedding is at 6pm get up at around 9 and have breakfast with the your daughters and some one on one with them..But make sure you eat, no matter how your nerves are)

    2. we got our hair done the day of everybody when to different stylist in 2 different salons (but since you are thinking of getting your hair done the day before why not go to the spa at around 11 and get a mani and pedi done the day of and drink mimosas that way you stay calm and relaxed..)

    3. We hung around and walked around the mall (around 2 why not go and have your make up done or just walk around with your daughters to kill time)..

    4. Gave her some alone time while we got dressed and then make up artist came to the hotel and photographer was taking pictures of her getting dressed, etc..
then we went to the church and chilled in the basement, prayed, laughed, cried and then it was time to start..  ( start getting dressed at 3 let them get dressed first  and have your alone time and time to think and reflect, talk to God, etc.. Once the girls are dressed, they can help you get dressed and you could get some good photo shots.. and then take pics and head to your ceremony..

hope this helps.. while i'm making plans for the girls, how old are they, can they help you get in your dress?
