Pro Makeup Prices?

hi ladies!

Just got an email from one of my bridesmaids that her SIL who is a MUA with MAC can do my makeup...her prices are:

$75 for consultation/trial...this counts as a deposit if I use her services...
$100 for day of... (this is really $175 minus the $75 deposit)
$65 each for everyone else...(4 bridesmaids)

With regular makeup (i.e., no airbrush) and she comes to my location...

I have never gotten my makeup done professionally...what do you ladies think, is that a reasonable price?

Any recommendations ATL knotties?

I asked this same question last week after talking to a MUA that works at Belk in the MAC dept (supervisor). Her quote to me was $150.00 for make-up and eyelashes, she leave you a little foundation to touch up makeup. 

Honestly I didn't like that price it's just makeup, however I want to look my best but DAMN!!!!!

if you dont want to pay that much you can go to the store and just buy 3 products and they will do your makeup there for free. my bestfriend did that for her wedding and she ended up getting the foundation,lashes & lipstick which was way less than the $175 however its the hassle of actually going to the store. so if its convience you want and to look good i think thats a good price.

Mine is charging me $135 for bride and $40 for BMs and Mothers ($25 if they apply their own foundation), FGs are free.

Her quote sounds reasonable, except that I don't like it when they charge for the trial. What if you decide you don't like her services and decide to go with someone else, then you're out of $75. I turned down a few cheaper quotes because they were charging for trial.

I am paying $100 for bride, $85 for BM/mom/grandma and he is coming to me.  I am not going to do a trial because he has done makeup for clients of mine in the past so I know the quality of his work.  I also trust him enough that I don't have to give him a lot of guidance and direction, especially since I am not a frequent makeup wearer. 

I know that it is cheaper if you go to the store, but I would recommend that brides try to minimize running around on your wedding day as much as possible.  I am someone who will pay for convenience in my regular life, so it is a non-negotiable on my wedding day.  I am going to do the hair prep at the salon the day before, but my hair stylist is also coming to me the morning of my wedding to style my hair.

I have a makeup trial coming up soon and if I book with the MUA it'll cost $55 for my makeup and $35 for everyone else. Airbrush costs a little bit more. Your rates sound pretty reasonable. Did you check out her reviews and looked at her portfolio? That may put you at ease a bit. 

not to thread hijack but is anyone doing airbrush makeup? What's the main difference.

The girl I am looking at is $85 and she will come to me, Im not having bridal party so Im not sure what her price would be for extra faces.

The lady I am thinking of going with is charging 225. That inclueds Airbrush makeup, lashes, a trial, and my two daughters. For My BM's is 50 without lashes and 75 with lashes.

Mine was $50 for the consultation. It's 110 for me, including lashes, 70 a piece for each of the bridesmaids, 10 dollars additonal for them for lashes and tattoo cover up. She also is traveling to me. I also have paid her a additional 75 dollars to follow me and my girls all day and do touch ups for the ceremony and reception as needed.
