DOC Under $1k?

Hello Ladies!

I'm on the hunt for a DOC for my Olympia area wedding in August 2012.  All of the DOCs that my venue, DJ & photographer highly recommended are $1,200 - $1,800 before travel fees.  Do professional, experienced, organized, take-charge DOCs for under $1k exist?

    Uhhh yes! Definitely!

    My DOC is great, but she has only been in the business for a little over a year,and it sounds like you are looking for someone with more experience.

    There are other brides here who have used other DOC's that are more well known in the business. I am sure they will give you great Recs. And I don't think anyone has paid $1000....

    My DOCs were $500, but one of them is currently preggo and going to go on Maternity leave sometime this summer and I'm not sure when she'll be going  back to work.

    My DOC is $700. She has been so incredibly helpful, especially with vendor recommendations. I talked with her over the phone and knew immediately she was who I wanted! Booked her before even meeting her!

    Manette Gracie I think charges $15 an hour (which is insanely amazing for the budget), though she was booked for my date this summer.

    I am using Christine Heidel for $500 (belle nuit events). She is very put together and I have total faith that things will go well day-of.  She gave us a great florist recommendation for a lady that works out of her house in Kirkland.  Aria wanted to charge us over $6k for what this lady is doing for <$2k.  dow I don't have to go the DIY route!  She's already saved me time & money :)

    Manette Gracie is my DOC....but she upped her prices. She charges $350 now. Butttt totally worth it! She is wondeful!

    yes I agree! ..................I always planned to pay her more than $15/hr anyway because I didn't think that was very much! haha. She'll be in for a surprise when she gets my check. Surprised

    My DOC was free :o) She's just starting out and I have to say, she was FABULOUS! Totally organized and made my day so super stressless. They are worth it and you CAN find them for much cheaper.

    I loved my DOC, Emily of Exquisite Events http://www.exquisiteeventsseattle.com/ .  I can also vouch for Laura Gram - I attended a fellow Knottie's wedding last summer which Laura was the DOC and she did an AMAZING job of keeping things flowing!
