e-pics question - pro makeup or not?

My photographer wants to shoot e-pics on Sunday.  We can make the timing work and love the venues that he has selected for the shoot.  Should I get my makeup done or go with a more natural look?  I don't wear anything daily except for a little lipgloss.  I am getting my makeup done for the wedding, but it is worth getting it done for the e-pics as well?

I don't wear make up at all either lip gloss girl here too. I loved the way the MUA did my make up for my e shoot and it was a great test run for what to expect for the wedding. Still waiting to see how my pictures turned out so I will keep you posted on that. But do whatever will makes you more comfortable.

Why not try a free make over at a dept store.  MAC maybe?

Definitely pro make up.  I don't wear makeup either on a regular basis, but I agree with the PPs, the MAC counter is a great option.  My sister had hers done there for her E-pic shoot and we had ours done there for her wedding.  I'm not sure if its changed but after you bought $50 (I think it was) worth of make up, then they did your whole face.  I was very happy with the results and will be doing it again for my own e-pics.

My shoot is at 10am.  MAC won't open early enough, hence trying to determine if I need to hire someone to come to me.

I say pro makeup.  I don't wear a lot of makeup on the regular either.  It is usually mascara, eyeliner, and lipstick.  However, I am doing my own makeup for my wedding.  I am going with an Ulta brand.  I am going to the store to get the makeover and buying the concealer and foundation for the wedding day as well.

Professional make-up for sure! My e-session was on a Sunday as well, and I went to a MAC counter since I felt it was way too soon for a make-up trial (like pp said, I had to buy $50 worth of MAC products). I think it is well worth it and you will feel better when you get your pics back

I didn't do pro-make up for my e- shoot because I'm not a daily make-up person and they came out amazing. I wore mascara and a pretty lip color and my skin looks great and my eyes still pop. I use to model so I was kinda nervous about doing photos with no make-up but the results spoke otherwise. I say do whatever will make you feel most comfortable because no matter how pretty you look its your comfort level that will shine thorugh on film.

I don't wear makeup daily either just mascara and lip gloss, so I wasn't too confident in my skills, lol. I had a morning shoot as well for e pics.So what I did was I went to the MAC counter in the macys near me a 2 weeks before, and had the girl teach me how to do the look for the day of. She would do a step on one eye and then I would do the same thing on the other eye. She made sure I could do the whole thing by myself! It was awesome. I did end up buyiing a few things from them, to create the look. She also had a big sheet of paper with a face on it. and she applied a bit of each of the different things she used and named and numbered them in the order i was to apply them. Makeup came out great the day of the e-pics and I was so proud of myself, lol!
