**TamTam**

I just saw your post in our thread. I guess I wasn't on here yesterday. Work has been kicking my butt.

Anyway about the coffee house dining theme: I have "mocha" and "latte" in chocolate brown letters hanging around a ceramic picture of a cup of cappucino that is chocolate brown, red, and honey colored on one wall. On the other wall I have a picture that is honey brown and chocolate of a cup of coffee that says "dining room coffee" surrounded by chocolate wall sconces with vanilla candles on them. The table has red cups and saucers with chocolate brown napkins. There are 2

red placemats and 2 brown and beige colored placemats with pictures of different coffee on them. There is a chocolate vase in the middle of the table. The seats of my dining chairs have red fabric on them. I found a picture of the table setup on my comp. This was in my old apt in Greensboro.

That is too cute.  I love that theme.  If it wasn't for the fact that I'm already doing the Tuscan thing I would sooooo have a coffee shop themed dining room.  What made you come up with that idea?  Do you just love the feel and comfort of coffee shops or were you inspired by a decor element?  I love coffee shops.  I went to school in Indiana and there was this cozy little neighborhood coffee shop that just epitomized comfort and just an all around feel good feeling and I actually wanted my whole apartment to have a coffee shop theme.  This place had big comfy couches and chairs modern and eclectic looking accents.  It was just such a cool place, but I was a poor college kid so I had hand me down furniture.  LOL.  I tried to go to vintage shops and pier one when they offered a sale to get certain accents to give my apartment that look and feel but it never quite worked out.  LOL

Thanks for sharing.  Hey!  I didn't know you lived in Greensboro for a while.  How long ago?  Do you ever come back?  If so we should get together sometime.

Thank you. I like coffee shops, but I honestly don't go to them often because I really don't like coffee lol. But I love the vibe that coffee shops have. I was also inspired by a kitchen rug and dish towels that were red, chocolate, and cream colored with a latte on them.

I moved away from Greensboro almost a year ago. It'll be a year in September. My DH and I use to go back to hang out at our fav club spot Lotus Lounge. But of course we can't do that now that the baby is coming.

I've never been to Lotus Lounge.  What kind of music do they play there or is it just a dance club?  DH and I love Churchill's.  He took us there on our first date and they usually have performances by live bands.

Lotus Lounge is a dance club. They used to play 70s, 80s, and 90s music on Saturday nights for the "older" crowd and that's what DH and I enjoyed the most. I'm not sure if they still do that. I remember DH and I would be the youngest people in the club, but we loved it.
