Looking for restaurant for reception

My wedding is just going to be a small intimate affair with immediate family and best friends. We'd like to go out to restaurant afterwards for a small reception but need one that we can maybe get a private room and we don't want to spend an arm or leg to get it. Any recommendations? Thanks.

I'm having my wedding/reception at Ray's Boathouse and they do private dinners/receptions in the same room w/o a ceremony.  The catering coordinator, Amy Stevens, is wonderful and I was surprised at how reasonable the venue itself is for a private party.

In Tacoma on the waterfront there's C.I. Shenanigan's, which has different sized rooms upstairs that can be used for this purpose.  Here's their info on the banquet rooms - http://cishenanigans.com/bqtinformation.shtml

We're doing our rehearsal dinner for about 40 at La Vita e Bella in Belltown. They have a separate room for that many. It's about $70 per person including wine.

We had our wedding reception at Daniel's Broiler. They have private rooms with minimums that aren't too crazy (500 for lunch). They allowed external vendors like cake/flowers without any problem.

We are having out reception at Preservation Kitchen next Saturday...Since we are going to have our ceremony there also, It was at least $1,000 minium for food. You can also rent out the 2 private rooms.

How many people are going to be at the reception?

What area? How many people? How much per head?

If I had a small group I would certainly look into Carnegie's in Ballard(ish?) I think it looks really cool. If my group were small enough, I'd also look into the Tom Douglas restaurants.

Wow! You ladies are full of great information and some surprises for some spots I thought might be too expensive for us. There will be about 30 people at this reception, with that many I wouldn't want to spend more than 50 bucks a head. They'll buy their own drinks, you have to know some of the people to know why LOL. We're in Central Seattle and the ceremony will be in Central Seattle at my church. We'd like to stay in Seattle, maybe Bellevue because it's close. But those suggestions are great, I'll definitely be putting them on my list. And thank you guys for giving me people to contact and websites. Us Seattle brides rock!!

ohhh your making us girls blush ;)

FI and I are choosing to have a no-host bar so we are not responsible for their booze buying and we choose a red and white wine for a resonable price.
