Worried..

Well I called today to schedule an appt to visit the venue that we both agreed on. So I already knew that they don't book until one year in advance which was fine but today the lady told me not only that but the first 15 days of the month are only open to Livermore residents to book and on the 16th day it opens to outsiders. That has me worried. We really did not agree on any other place this is the place I MUST HAVE. Fi said dont worry we'll just take whatever day they have open even if we have to move it into august but ugh I really have my heart on September 17, 2011. So now I have to hang in limbo until the 16th of next month BOOOOO..

I'm sorry to hear that, but try not to hang on to the date so much. That has backfired for some brides here...gotta decide what you want most...the date or the venue. I will pray that it works out for you though! Stay busy so you won't stress it for the next few weeks!

Thats sucky ! But if this is your must have venue, then try to be flexible with the date. Does that date have some special meaning ?

Totally agree with the PPs - if the date isn't ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL then stay open in order to get the venue you want.  We went into planning saying we could get married anytime within a 6 month time period and we worked around availability of the venue, hotels, photographer, etc.

Thanks ladies the date has no special meaning behind it I really dont  know why I had a problem if I had to change it. Thanks for the feedback it opened my eyes to the situation.
