Proof my RSVP card

Re: Proof my RSVP card

  • :)  hey girl. lol.  you got us working hard for our input huh?  all good.

it seems very straight forward to me.   this is a small and optional thing, please forgive my inner grammar nerd.   Each of your sentences:  start all of em with a capital letter or none of em.

this line here:     ____seat(s) have been reserved in your honor - you're gonna fill in this blank right?

curious to know what other brides have done w/ regard to rsvp via website.  I had planned to as well, with the option of either OR but listening to some of ya'lls war stories, 2 choices is one too many, imma need that card back!

  • I say don't put number attending if you are already RSVP their seats for them. I say do this... M_______________________ 2 seats are reserved in your honor ____able to attend ____sorry, we're not able to attend And the or RSVP on Website ! HTH

I used both options, and it seems that RSVP'ing online was more popular than I thought. More guests have used the online option while only a few have actually mailed theirs in.,,, I was shocked I thought it would be the other way around. A lot of people said that RSVP'ing online was super convenient and very easy to use, and saved them a trip to the post office. Whoever was confused by what to do gave me a call or contacted both mothers and were easily helped... and I can count on 1 hand how many were confused.

    Thanks ladies!

@sultryzulu- yes I do have yall working hard but I need yall input before I can do anything! LOL. Thanks for pointing that out.

the reason I put "Number attending" is because there are some guests I'm giving a plus one to and I wanna know if they are going to bring a date or not. So if I give them "2 seats" and they are not bringing anyone they will just put "1" for number attending. Or is this too much? lol

This is the way I"m doing it. Some people have a household of 4 but maybe only 2 or 3 will come and just in case they don't write all of the names on the line.

  • no girl  you're fine, I don't mean to imply that you cant do it without us, you're doing it :)
I mean I'm not madatcha for putting us to work.  g'awn nah.

I don't think it's too much, this is my thing about the "creative write-ins".  Folks who ignore rules of courtesy will ignore the entire thing.  Folks who know better will answer you accordingly.   is my guest expectation about this too high? damn.

    hangs head.  double damn.
  • Coming in late to the conversation, but I think yours is pretty straightforward assuming you're putting in the number of seats that have been reserved. I like this and wish I had done it. I feel like when we put in a '2' on ours, some people might feel obligated to bring a guest that weren't planning on bringing anyone... that's why I left a few blank.

So far... other than the one RSVP with no name, we haven't had many mishaps (but there are still 94 out there)1

  • I think its ok, but I am including the number of seats that are reserved already. The only +1 are engaged, seriously dating (i.e. people in wedding party or my line sisters, but these are non existant lol), or married couples.
