XP: Bar stocking question

Can anyone that did a signiture drink, beer and wine give me there ratio of buying for their wedding size? I cannot for the life of me figure out a good calculation on how to figure out how much of each to buy.

For the record I am doing a "liquid mary jane" (to be renamed of course, we like the taste not the name) which consists of rum, pinapple juice, blue curaco, midori and sweet and sour. I may do a vodka drink too but I am not sure yet.

Sooo.. I didn't do signature drinks.. but I can give you what we did for 70 people:
Jello shots in our wedding colors- 90 (they went fast. wasn't expecting that!)

    Wine
    -15 Merlot
    - 12 Chardonney
    - 8 Rose
    We ran out of nothing.

    Beer
8 cases of 18-24 packs from Costco
Came back with about 3 cases!

Keep in mind we had a Sunday wedding though.. I think that made people drink less because they had work in the morning.

Jello shots are an awesome idea! What flavors did you do? I may just have to steal that idea....

They were cheap and a huuuge hit bc we used champagne! Our colors were blue and yellow so those were what we made them with: blue raspberry and lemon... Mmmm so cute and yummy . Everyone raved about them :)

How did you serve them? Like in little dixie cups or did you find a fancy way to do it? The only thing is I worry about some of my family (the older bunch) being a litttle side eyed at it....but it sounds like a good fun cost saver!

I was wondering the same thing.  We're doing an open bar and have to provide the alcohol.  We're not going to do a signature drink, but plan on doing well alcohol - any suggestions on ratios for alcohol?  We're looking at about 120 guest count.

Oh no. We were going to maky them classy jello shots (hence the champagne ;) haha)
We found nice clear , thick plastic shooters at Party City (they also have cute colored ones) and put them on trays to make them look a little more formal and appealing. Party City has little plastic cups with lids, though... So you could just stick them in an ice bin or something so they are not so obvious for the oldies... My family can be a bit conservative but they thought it was a silly fun idea. They didn't HAVE any, but it's not like they were straight everclear shooters. ;)

Kimberly that is perfect! Just the explaination I was looking for. I think betweel you and FTL's numbers I should be able to figure it out. Except now I might change my signiture drink : ) I saw on pinterest where they did really cool layered jello shots that looked pretty too. It would make the bartenders job a lot easier too lol and since he's a friend that's a plus. Thank you everyone for all your help! Now to keep it under budget.....

Jellow is cool but remember you have to make them prior to the event AND keep them cold.. The less work the better for us haha :P

Anyone have any ideas on stocking a bar and NOT doing a signature drink....?

LGM we didn't really have a "sig drink" the jello shots were for fun but we didn't count them into our equation at all. Is your wedding on a fri/sat or on a sun? That makes a big difference
