I'm disgusted too...not COMPLETELY surprised because there were holes in the case, but this is one of those times I just want people to rely on common sense. The rules are what they are, but in this case...it sucks.

Truly flabbergasted.   There is no way she should have been found not guilty. SMDH.  Even if it wasn't her, as the mother she is still responsible.

I wouldn't touch this one with a 10 foot pole. I always tend to offend people when talking about the "law" and justice. lol I will say that I'm not surprised at the verdict and the prosecution was a tad over zealous charging her with first degree murder. Those are the harder cases to prove and their case was never air tight.

I would have just settled for a guilty verdict SOMEWHERE besides just lying.

@Soon2BSand - girl yeah! When FI asked if I knew what the verdict was, I told him yeah and they wouldn't have had the same verdict had I been on the jury.

Unfortunately under the law they could not with 100% say that Casey was guilty of 1st degree murder.  It is a sad situation because an innocent two year old child is gone.  I hope one day we know the truth but we may never.   Nonetheless, someone or some persons have to look themselves in the mirror everday knowing the truth and it will eat them alive.
