How much is your dress?

trying to decide between a 600.00 dress or  a 2400.00 and would it be worth it to sell it after the wedding.

    Mine was $1500. 
    That's quite the difference in price!  I think the best way to decide on which one to pick is to ask yourself that if price wasn't an issue, which one do you love the most?

    My dress is $695 including taxes and all alterations. Bought it off the rack and I love it. I made the initial deposit and if I make a small payment a month I will have it paid off long before the wedding. I was so excited about this. One of my best yet cheapest purchases at first I was so against off the rack but then I found how much of a price difference it was and I took that dress and ran! lol

    Mine was around $900 because I got it when the shop was doing a designer sample sell.

    My dress was $1300 Sottero & Midgley. I tried on other dresses, but none of them made me feel the way that dress did. The material felt like butter, unlike the dresses I tried on at Alfred Angelo, they just felt cheap & stiff.

    I spent $1000 on my dress. More than I wanted, it was $895 put had to include tax. But, no alterations are needed. Fit the sample size perfectly.

    My dress was $260.00 total including taxes baby lol. I went to the Running of the Brides here in DC and got it for a steal. I love my baby and I can't wait to wear her.
    Before I went to the running of the brides I found my picture perfect dress for $1100.00 and I opted out of it only because I found a beautiful gown for a way better deal.

    My dress was $750 on clearance b/c it was being discontinued.  I never imagined getting that kind of deal - it really helped free up some of my budget for other things!!

    LOL I don't have a clear picture of it. I'm not going to justify "why" it's $945 b/c i'll just look like an idiot for getting it lol but i'll say this. In NYC the upcharges are insane! At Kleinfelds when I said yes to my dress, the veil specialist came out and we started trying on different ones. The one both my mother and I fell in love with was so incredible and different from what i was trying on. It was after I fell in love that we found out the price BUT my mother didn't mind b/c my dress came WAY under the original budget of $3500 that she just said "the hell with it" and let me get the veil. So it's a super blessing but yes I am aware that I will only be wearing it for all of 2 hours for pics and my ceremony. This veil is going to become the "heirloom" of my new family damnit lol

    My dress was on sale for $350 because it had been discontinued and it was the last one in that size. My dress budget was $800 so I was excited to come way under that!

    ETA: Someone actually wanted to buy my dress from me a couple weeks ago, but I declined. DH wants me to keep it for some strange reason and I didn't know how much to charge since I got it for the low lol.

    I ordered mine off of Ebay. There was a lady from China who makes them and had excellent feedback. I emailed her the dress I wanted and she said she could make it off the pic. I said, Let me think about it. Looked at a few of the other dresses she had made...and found actually one I liked better. I sent my measurements and its on its way in the mail here after she is done with it.

    I figured what the heck? Even if I get it and hate it...which I doubt because her feedback was well over 99%....excellent, then I haven't really wasted much and can turn around and sell it for $100 AT LEAST.

    But...if its as beautiful as I figure it to be...then it will be the steal of a century. I'm also assuming it will need to be professional cleaned before I wear it and may need some other alterations because it is form-fitting.

    That's awesome...I'm thinking of doing two also since I got a great deal on the one. I can do one I know FI will like for the wedding and then do something more "Fashionista" for myself and the reception! He likes fairytale princess...I like metropolitan chic so....yea...there ya have it! lol
