Yet Another RSVP Question...

So. I was thinking of offering the option to RSVP online/by phone - like a Google voice line dedicated to it right? Right.

My question is, how do you go about those who want to RSVP via mail? Do I send RSVPs and SESEs to everyone and eat the cost of the wasted stamp?

I'm putting stamps on the RSVP envelopes for the guests we know are not computer savvy. Others will have to RSVP onine or by phone. These wont get an RSVP envelop or stamp

I did online or mail rsvp. We made a list of who we thought were computer savy and they got an envelope to mail in. If you have a fb page, you didn't not get a stamped envelope.

I only offered the option of google voice and online.... I think if your only having those two options then there is no need for a stamp. If your going to do mail/voice/online I guess you should provide stamps for those who you think will use the mail option Most of my guest used the phone option because it was super simple.

Okay can I get some more details on this phone (google) RSVP?  I have never heard of it.  I was going to do the online option but I have a few non-computer savvy people. The phone option would be great for them.  This will save me some $$$ on the stamps.  LOVE THIS IDEA!

<div>Google Voice is what's called... it's basically a component of gmail that assigns you a phone number. I use it as my "I don't want folks to have my real # so you can have this one and I can better screen my calls or block you all together" number. :)

I put stamps on all the RSVP envelopes, and let me tell you why this was a stupid thing to do.  My FI is Canadian and most of his family and friends are in Canada.  From the US two 44 cent stamps are enough to send a letter to Canada, so that's what I put, but it never occurred to me when I wasted all my stamps that Canadians can't put a letter in a Canadian mailbox with American stamps.  DUH, what a waste of money.  To top it off, the Candian Postal Service is on strike so some of my invitations still haven't been received and I mailed them out the end of May. I should have just gone the online route. The knot allows you to do it, but I didn't feel like individually adding the entire guest list.  It was so time consuming that I stopped.
