    Yay, yay, yay! Thanks, Mod!

    1. First Name & Fiance's First Name:  Sharee & AJ

    2. Your Birthday & Age and Fiance's Birthday and Age:  Me: Dec 1--
    27, FI: March 30--31

    3. City Born In? Me:
Gary, IN. FI in Fort Wayne, IN.

    4. City Live in?
I'm in Chicago. FI is in Indianapolis, IN

    5. Where did you go to college?
IUPUI for my BA, then Texas A&M for my Master's.

    6. What was your major?
My BA is in Sociology. My Master's is in Student Affairs in Higher Education.

    7. What is your current job?
I am a college administrator. I am under the Dean of Students, focusing on persistence and retention of the undergraduate student body. I also oversee our early alert reporting system for academic concerns, social concerns and concerning behaviors that usually stem from mental health issues or student crisis. I serve on our concerning student team. I co-manage a summer bridge program that is then a year long for provisionally admitted students. I do a little student conduct and oversee a scholarship program as well.  Whoo!

    8. What is your dream job?
I would love to be a Director of Student Conduct at the college level and then become a adjuct professor teaching Higher Edu law in a Higher Edu program.  I love high education law, talking with a student about decision making, and overall meeting a student at their low, but help them refocus their behaviors with the aim to make them better citizens for the future. It’s something about helping & supporting a student thru their 2nd or 3rd chance. I also love teaching other Higher Edu law and breaking it down to its smallest pieces.

    9. How did you and your fiance meet? We met in DC during a student government conference in undergrad. Our first conversation was an debate about diamonds on engagement rings... FI took the position against rings with diamonds; I was in favor for diamonds. He may have won the debate verbally, but I have a diamond ring :)
We found ourselves enjoying the rest of the conference together. We started dating long distance from Fort Wayne and Indianapolis. But due to long distance and school, we broke up in early 2008. One day in October 2009, I came across FI’s Facebook page and messaged him hello, not knowing FI secretly came across MY Facebook page a few days before. He asked me to call him later that night and I did. We never stopped talking…we started dating again in March 2010.

    10.  When did you get engaged and how did he do it?? To be honest, FI told me he had prayed to God during our breakup that I would become his wife, asking for me by name. He will even go so far to say he proposed in 2009 and I rejected him, but I really do not remember this occurring. So day 2 of getting back with him in 2009 that I was his wife. I was not sure at the time. So he said was ready to ask at anytime, but waited until I was ready. That time came early 2011. I just FI was waiting for “the perfect time” and was talking it over with a barber one day. The Barber told him to just do it! That night, FI proposed over the phone on May 5, 2011. I was in TX and he was in IN.

    11. When is the Wedding Day? July 5, 2013

    12. Where is the ceremony and reception? Fort Wayne, In

    13. What are your wedding colors? Black and White w/ Cobalt Blue. Silver accents .

    14. Where are you honeymooning? Hmmm, not sure yet. We were gifted a week in a timeshare of my mentor, so we have some choices between CO, GA, and IL.

    15. Favorite wedding vendor so far? Our Photographer is just inspiring and amazing. She is a great woman of God who does great bloggers on Christen life, a wonderful mom to a new baby girl and does wonderful photographers. She gets better with each shoot, with is exciting to witness via FB posts.

    16. Biggest wedding splurge? Venue, which includes food, shuttle, and after party. We could have had the reception somewhere where the price was lower, but we love the place with little to do deco wise. I does not hurt it’s under budget was well. After that, it’s the church. I wanted a church with stain-glass windows; asking a lot of an area where there are not a lot of choices for non-members who are not Catholic. But God provided!

    17. What is something you wish you could have at the wedding but don't? I didn’t want the wedding. I would love to go to Hawaii and get married on the beach, just the two of us in front of God. The spend the rest of time on our honeymoon. Maybe had a reception upon our return. I don’t like getting emotional in front of people…I wish would have done that. I am hoping we can do this for our renewal one day.

    18. Another knottie wedding you'd like to attend? Man, that is hard! M1ssJ and footballwife77 are coming up and were very active planning the whole time I’ve been here, so seeing their wonderful visions come to life would be awesome! Nursing2u is my buddy, so I would love to go to hers as well. CreoleBride30 and Princess, though their dates have passed, I would have loved to have attended.

    19. Favorite book? Coldest Winter Ever is still the best!

    20. Favorite movie? Love Jones!

    21. Favorite tv show? A Different World, House

    22. Favorite wedding dress designer? I don’t have one, really.

    23. Any advice you can give?  Using “our” wedding. I think what keeps me grounded is that it is not “my” wedding. Its “our” day with both touches from both of us. It has made it easy for the other person to defend the other to family/friends who ask/say crazy things. Also, pre-marital counseling! Please do it, if you can and if it applies. We did two forms of it, group with my church and a personal minister outside the church. It helped us gets through our 1st large rough patch. We used to have a lot of pointless fights. Now, we get in arguments, but can resolve them easily. I feel like our communication is stronger and we know where the other person stands. We assumed a lot before it.  We will talk with our officiate a few times before and after the wedding as well. I highly recommend anyone to do it and look into doing follow up sessions if the engagement is long like our or even after the wedding like we want to do.

    24. Anything you wish you could change about your wedding? I wish I would have asked my ladies later. I love them, but I always feel 5 ladies have been too many for a small wedding. I also wish I would have started saving for the wedding as soon as we were engaged, like putting $50 or more dollar aside each check in a high-yields account. I would have been great for wedding deposits!

    25. Share something about yourself! Me and FI have been long distance the whole time. It's getting harder to not cry when we part. I am ready for the wedding, but just REALLY READY to be his wife, coming home everyday to him. Being there for his bad days from school/work. Him there for mine. I just want our lives to finally intertwine. We don't watch too much TV (we prefer movies). FI is a law student....God, I love him and his passion for law, but can't wait until its over! I LOVE jazz and we will have a live jazz band, which is exciting. I'm a Elite Yelp-er (I love reviewing new restaurants) and I have a hair blog on K-i-s-s.biz. I LOVE this board! I really do not know what I would have done without it. You ladies bring me joy and sanity with each day. I owe all the positive comments about how organized and prepared I am for the wedding to all of you.
THANK YOU, AAW and thanks for reading !Laughing

@ rowenac82 and @fancywright2 Where are you guys going to live after the wedding? We will live in Indianapolis! I did my undergrad there, so I know the area very well and my bestie and sister is now back  in Indy. Good place to make babies and have support to do so J

@ rowenac82 How do you like Indiana? I LOVE it. I mean, I’ve now lived in IL and TX, but home is home. The tempment of the Midwest is 'just right' to me. Not too fast, not too slow. We are a Red state... but I never really felt any of the that until I am in Southern Indiana. Central and North seems to be fine. I would recommend Indianapolis. It has so many colleges, has a great night life, but is not too big. Great social networks, captial and home of the Colts! Let me know if you want any help with jobs in SA.

    @nursing2u Aww! July 2013 luv!

@20pearls16Thank you. Today is one of those days where I wish he was here to hold me… L

@CreoleBride30 Aww, this is like the best message EVER! It means a lot to me to hear about the faith piece. Man, we are trying. I get on myself so much for what I am not doing towards my faith...Regarding my dream job, I hope and I WILL contact you when it happens.

@footballwife77 LOVE your post! Thanks for sharing your son’s photos with us! I know you will have so much fun at your wedding!

How often do you guys see each other? We try to see each other every two weeks, but with him being in school, it may be once every 3-5 weeks. I try to be understanding and patient with his study schedule, which is paying off! Like this time, I was due to see him this weekend, 4 weeks. But now its pushed to 5 due to a funeral and he is preparing for finals. Then, when school is out, he will come stay with me until I am released for the hoilday/weekend.

Are you excited to live with him? VERY! I am a bit nervous about it because I am NOT looking forward to the whole we-have-to-create-new-processes-because-your-is-not-right thing, but growing pains. But I am excited to share a space with him, grow and laugh and learn everyday. To have a home...sometimes I feel like I working from home...like HOME is Indy, where he is. I enjoyed my freedom at first, but I am ready to be a wife now. He does remind me we will not be under each other 24/7.  I know there will come a time when I need a place to just BE for a day in Carrie in Sex and the City, movie 1.

Are you nervous or scared that "pet peeves" will come into play or bad habits or snoring?? Not really. We kind of are aware of some of them, most of which we laugh at now. We the kinda people that notice stuff and then figure out a plan to make it work as soon as its discovered. Madness, but it works.

Also, who will be moving where? I am moving to Indy

Plan on kids right away? NO! He would LOVE to have kids tomorrow. I would love to wait 2-3 years. We met in the middle and will start trying after our one year addy. But this weekend, I was thinking of telling him we can try April 2014 as an early b-day gift!
