Rehearsal/Rehearsal Dinner Invites

Did you send out an invite for your rehearsal dinner or just word of mouth? I already ordered my invites and didnt order any invites or inserts that included the rehearsal or rehearsal dinner info. I'm wondering if I should just put the info on our wedding website, but I don't want random folks just showing up. I'm also considering just having somekind of reception since we have a lot of OOT guests, but wondering if word-of-mouth will be the best way to let folks know

We are putting an invite to the "Welcome To Atlanta Reception" in the baskets that will be placed in the rooms of OOT guests. It will be something inexpensive that basically lets them know we are hosting a dinner/reception/whatever that night and it will double as our rehearsal dinner.

We aren't doing a traditional dinner but a luau in the ballroom of the host hotel... we chose this to a) give our guests a taste of the Hawaiian honeymoon we're going on but b) because we didn't want a traditional rehearsal dinner.

We're doing the traditional rehearsal dinner and just did word of mouth.  I didn't feel like spending time and money designing yet another paper item.  The RD is only limited to the bridal party and their significant others so we didn't have a bunch of people to spread the word to.

We had a traditional rehearsal dinner that was just for the bridal party and our OOT guest. Everyone found out by word of month..... We didn't see a need to spend more money on invites and stamps when we knew they would be there.

Exactly!! I sent a mass text to my girls & my hubby sent a text to his guys. We refused to spend extra money on invites for RD.

We're just having the rehearsal dinner for the wedding party and parents and we did use word of mouth but now I keep getting questions about it so I ordered 25 free business cards from vistaprint. I used the plain white ones and put the details on that so I'll be including them in the wp invites
