FMIL wants to buy our favors. That would be a great gift if she didn't have such strange tastes. She offered to take our picture and put it on nice hand towels.

Say whaaaaa!?!  You want our face on something people will dry their hands on or worse! When I told FI no way, he said he would talk to her. Supposedly she won't do that now but she has another idea. She won't tell us this time. SMH!!!

I've decided to let it go and let her do what she wants, favors are not going to make or break our day.

I could NOT get out of bed this morning. Seriously, I was so tired, I couldn't even move. And I have cramps. And I have been super unproductive at work and procrastinating away the past few days, so I seriously NEED to be great today. And I don't feel like working hard so I am not excited about it.

Hahahaha! That is the funniest idea I've ever heard!!! I'd feel extremely uncomfortable using a towel that had anyone's smiling face on it lol

OMG I would crack up if I received a hand towel with the bride and groom's faces on it as their wedding favor. You'd have a lot of favors left at the reception!  Somehow I think your FMIL's new idea still involves putting your faces on something. Eek. I'm curious to know after the wedding what it is!

Going off what butterfly said, I'm going to get my period soon and my boobs are so tender. FI likes give me a squeezing king of hug (annoying because he's really trying to crack my back without me asking for it) and it hurt like hell on Monday. I told him not to do it right now and then he did it again yesterday. I can't even exercise because it hurts too much. I can't wait to just get my period so my boobs feel better!

FI still hasn't gotten the names of some of his friend's significant others or decided if he's going to invite a few extra co-workers to the wedding. I'm done asking him for this info. I"m just going to tell him this weekend that I mailed invitations and the rest will go out when he gets me the info. I'm not waiting to send them all at once because he's slacking.

It is funny now that I think about it, but when FI told me I was horrified. Even if people don't actually use it, I don't want anything displaying our face in someone's bathroom, heck I don't want to see my own face in my bathroom on a towel.

My room at school is soooo frigid. Like, a huge noticable difference from the hallway. It's so bad that I've actually gotten numb in here. I e-mail maintenece every other day about it, and I feel like a huge pain in the ass. But, I can't stand it when students complain to me because I can't do a single friggin' thing about it- except mail maintenence about it.

I don't understand why my room is so damn hard to control. No one else in the school has this issue that I know of.

My only WTF is my keurig just stopped randomly working on monday.  So I am going to try and return it at BB&B today.  We bought it a 1 1/2 years ago but they said as long as it was theirs they would exchange it for me so I have to go after work b/c I am now buying my coffee every morning!

No big WTFs today, but I'll add some stuff. Yesterday our dog played with 2 other labs and apparently they played too rough because now Tucker has a puncture wound on his leg. It's not too bad, but it needed to be cleaned. He's pretty much covered with scars now!!

Oh and FMIL pretty much has forced me to go to a purse party tomorrow and I don't want to go. She asked me the other day if I'd like to go and I said I wasn't sure. She told me to think about it and let her know. The next day she gives me my ticket for the party. It's $30 to get in and she already paid for it! Greeeattt.... Thanks for giving me some time to think about it. I don't like purses either.

Lady BB&B should take back the Kuerig.  My sister has returned her's twice since december and the last time she didnt have a box or a reciept for it and they still took it back.

I HATE cold rooms. I wear sweaters all year long at school. My room is usually pretty warm but I'm shivering most of the time. Can you change rooms?

I currently do not have a WTF, but it is still early in the day i guess. Today is my 1st fitting and I am pretty excited for it.

I guess the only thing I can complain about is that it has been raining for like 3 days straight and it is only going to be nice on the weekend. I guess I am glad it is raining now than the weekend.

LADY mine stopped working two days after I got it.....I called Keurig directly and they were amazing - they immediately sent me a brand new one. If you don't have luck at BBB I would try the direct Keurig customer service and be polite but a bit b*tchy. I would cry if mine stopped working now - I am addicted to it and use it EVERY morning!!

my cramps have proceeded to get worse since I originally posted about them. boo.

mbody - ceglare's right. Space heaters are the best thing ever. I use mine 365 days a year.

My WTF is kind of long/stupid, so bear with me.

The Four Seasons only gave us 20 rooms for our room block - 10 for Friday, 10 for Saturday - but with the understanding that in the event these were booked well before our room block "expiration" date, we could add to the block "subject to availability". Fine. 

So, I had a friend of mine try to make a reservation this weekend and was told the room block rate was no longer available because all 20 of the rooms had been booked. He ended up having to book a regular room. It's only a $30 difference, but it's still ridiculous and embarrassing because invitations JUST went out yesterday and the room block rate is no longer available?! The info is all over our Accommodations card.

I called our contact at the Four Seasons yesterday AND emailed her, but have yet to receive a response. I think they are going to be like "Well, we said 'subject to availability' and they aren't available anymore! Sorry!" which is BS.

What's more frustrating is that we are having our Farewell Brunch there (for 60-100 people) so we're spending a LOT of money at the hotel.  You can't just honor this $30 difference room block rate for our guests? SERIOUSLY?

We do have two other hotels at which we have room blocks, so it's not like we don't have ANY accommodations made for our guests . . . but this is really annoying to me.

@Bridetobe - that is really weird. We are using the Four Seasons for one of our 3 room blocks, too, and they told us something very different. We blocked 10 rooms each night, which they told us that meant those 10 rooms were on hold and could not be booked by ppl outside of our group, unless they were unpurchased 30 days before our event. If more than 10 rooms were purchased through our block, they would ALL get the discounted rate. So basically the block locks in the rate but also locks in 10 rooms. You can still get more rooms at that same rate, as long as the hotel is not sold out.

I hope you can work that out!

FBIL is driving me nutso!!! He's gotten on this high horse and thinks he's god all the sudden, sending me these e-mails, and wanting to have "adult conversations". I want to look at him and go "seriously, who the f do you think you are?!?!" I realize all of your sisters are younger then you and you are used to treating them like little kids, but give me a little respect, I'm 26 and not your little sister!! (btw hes younger then i am). One of his comments went "i honestly don't hate you" well thats good, cause you honestly don't know me... not for lack of trying on our part, we stop and and try to see you all the time, and yet i've only met you like 5 times in 3 years and you only live 20 minutes away from us!!! ERGGGGG..... so frustrated!!!! I just want to slap him through the computer!!

Only WTF from me today is that I'm so sick of this rainy weather.  GO AWAY I HAVE THINGS TO DO.

I had my hair trial yesterday and I am absolutely in love with my stylist.  She's my age and just the nicest girl ever.  I love how she did my hair and the hairspray she uses smells so good haha.  BUT after a few hours all of the bobby pins stabbing into my head started to REALLY hurt.  So now I have to remember to take a fistful of Advil the day of the wedding to avoid headaches from my hair.

Okay, I don't think I'm getting what they're telling you, then. Why did the person have to pay $30 more? In our scenario, the 11th room still pays the discounted rate.

My FIL's are usually super easy people to deal with and are great. We decided on our guest list back in January before we sent STD's (I hate the abbreviation for this btw, always feel weird typing it, lol)  We both had to cut down our guest list and our limit was 70 each side. We are inviting 140 are based our budget off of 120 showing. Fi's family cut 3 cousins to make the 73 (I let his go a couple over), and now they want to add them back in when we are sending out invitations right now, so his side would be 76. Sorry but my parents will sh*t a brick if we invite more people. I have friends that I had to cut that I wish could be invited. FI's guest llist is expected to have a high rsvp rate since the wedding is "in town" for most of his side and going through the list he could only name a couple couples that he thought were "maybes" and the rest he said he knows will make it. Fi is stressed out and is stressing me out. FIL's are telling he HAS to get them invited now and they'll pay for them.  It's more abou thet space that we don't have and budget (each person is atleast $200). My parents would never accept FI:'s money for this. Why are they bringing this up 2 months prior to the wedding? They are the ones who took them off the list to begin with back in January and now are changing their minds, WTF?!

I have a few - I too am getting my period and am eating everything in site! My hard work of losing 2 pounds last week is probably gone already. I have no motivation - none for work, none for working out. Zip, Zilch, Zero. Ugh. And my allergies are in over drive, despite the fact that I've taken my allergy pill religiously!

Hmm. Did you already reach that 11th person? I think that's what happened in my situation and because they hadn't added rooms to the block (we have the dedicated website for booking), the person was forced to go via the regular website, rather than our dedicated website which therefore meant they didn't get the room block rate.

I was under the impression they will keep honoring the room block rate so long as they had hotel availability, so I'm not sure why they didn't. The only assumption I can make is the hotel is booked and/or they didn't add to the block yet, so the person wasn't allowed to book using our dedicated website. I'm hoping they will just add to our block, but they aren't responding to me and it doesn't look like they added yet.

hahaha omg same thing with us! My mom has added 4 couples and my FFIL wants to add 9 "cousins" that live in Philadelphia at this point. We literally do not have room in the venue for these extra people, so since you're only supposed to invite who you can afford to host and fit in the venue, I cannot add these people!

Our guest list is at 230 and we wanted to keep the wedding invitations to 200 for strict venue purposes because we wanted about 150-175 guests. It's so obnoxiously annoying to add people this late in the game but we already have. I really hope they don't come because we're going to have some space issues (and my mom CANNOT complain about the budget because she's the one adding them!).

I did not even want to come on this thread because I know writing about these things will just make me more upset! But I need to vent:

I went to pick up my dress yesterday from the seamstress (it's early because she's going to Portugal for the rest of May, June and July- kindof got pressured into using her by FMIL).  Parked my car and the brake felt weird but thought it must be me.  I tried to leave and had no brakes. It was pouring and I was in a sketchy part of Hartford-called my Dad he said to try pumping them and drive home. It was terrifying!   The brakes kindof worked, as in, I was able to stop when I pushed with all my strength, but whenever I turned I could not control the car.

I went to my parents' later for dinner, my Mom yelled at me becasue I was late. I didn't even know there was a set time for dinner, but I was "late" because I was baking her favorite kind of cookies to bring over and trying to fix my phone because it wouldn't send messages (at least the phone is working now).  Apparently my parents were going out after dinner so they had reason to be upset I wasn't there earlier, but honestly, how am I supposed to remember they have dance class on Tuesdays?

My Dad moved my car out of the driveway, said it wasunsafe for me to have driven it to their house, but then said I could use their car to drive to work today and he'd take mine to the shop. Soo nice of him, but it's going to cost $1000. How am I supposed to budget for the wedding with a $1000 expense? WTF! FI and I are paying for a third of it and I don't want it to fall on him to cover part of my contribution.

Basically the past two and a half weeks have been miserable because I've barely seen FI. He's been working like 10am-2 am every day, M-F, plus last Saturday. He's a reporter and covering the legislative session. I need him to be around to keep me sane! I was moderately dealing with it, but after yesterday and this car stuff I feel like such a mess.

Oh and after I drove home from my parents with their car I tried on the dress, and the top is still a little too big. The seamstress is leaving Saturday for Portugal, and today after work we have meetings and then I'm tutoring until after the shop closes. Plus I'm somehow supposed to get my car from the shop, which also closes at 6. I want to take a personal day tomorrow to deal with this crap but I went to a workshop last week that the principal wanted me to go to and feel like I can't take another day. And making sub plans is so annoying! Ugh.

@BridetoBe - I actually have no clue how many ppl have booked rooms there! They don't send me updates or anything, so I only know from the ppl that tell me where they booked. We have a room block at the Marriott as well, and I love it b/c they have an online dashboard that gives me live updates on how many rooms are booked, so I always know. That one has definitely gone over the number I booked, but it's still letting ppl use it. I wish the Four Seasons had one too!

I went to get my invitations weighed today, only to find out that the "garden of love" stamps that I've been using for all wedding stuff have been discontinued! Luckily, my mom had the smart idea to call a post office in sun city the majority of the population is old people there and probably aren't looking for wedding stamps!. They had 1000 of them, and since my dad works near there, he picked up enough for our invitations and thank you notes on his lunch break!
