I live in MD and attend First Baptist Church of Glenarden in Upper Marlboro. Its a 30-minute drive from where FI and I live but we love the church so much, we decided to continue to go.

Where about in the DC area are you located? Oh and FBCG is non-denominational (incase you were wondering). You can check out their page on FB.

Hi,

I live in Silver Spring actually and I actaully visited FBCG a couple of weeks ago. I enjoyed the service alot but felt so lost with the size of the church, it is huge. All in all it did make our list because. FI and I have been looking for a church homein the area. I just looked into the classes but they are on Thursday nights and that doesn't fit into my schedule. Do you know if any other churches in the DMV area that offer similar type classes?

I hear ya on the size of the church. It can get overwhelming but to combat that, there are a lot of ministries for people to get involved in so you can feel like you are participating.
Plus, Upper Marlboro is too far to be driving to and from on Thursday evenings especially since most of the classes go past the 9:30pm end time.
I don't know of any places but will certainly keep my ears open. I moved here 7-years ago and it is one of three churches I visited. The other 2 were quite different from what I was used to and FBCG was very similar to the church I attended back home in MA.
