Should I Provide Transportation

I need some advice, before I tell my FI about another idea for the wedding.  (he thinks that I sit down and find ways to spend more money on this wedding lol)

I am thinking about getting a shuttle for the Out of Town Guest. We have a lot of guest that will be traveling for the wedding. (mostly my family and friends) Fi family and friends live in the area.   I wanted to provide them transportation to and from the venue. The venue is 15 minutes away from the hotel.  The shuttle can pick them up for the wedding and take them back to the hotel at a certain time. We are planning to serve beer and wine during cocktail hour and no one will have to worry about getting lost and The people that ride the shuttle will be at the wedding on time. (Scenario:  The wedding will start at 3:00, the shuttle will arrive at 1:45,  leave the hotel at 2:15 and arrive at the venue at 2:30, come back to pick up the guest between 9 and 9:30.)  What do you ladies think?

If it's in your budget, go for it. If our reception wasn't in the ballroom of a hotel, I think we would choose to provide a shuttle.

We are providing a Shuttle. Mainly because it is a destination wedding and everyone has to travel there. And it is Atlanta. So I say that yes if you can afford to provide it then great!

I agree with pp, if you can afford it I say go for it.  We're also having a shuttle via the hotel (free service) and it's 15 minutes away from the venue.  I'm hoping that with using the shuttle service it'll encouragement people to actually be on time.

I say no and I say no only because girl there is life after the reception and wedding. My Fiances family is coming from out of town and I am providing directions and they have a gps. NO offense to anyone but again there is life after the wedding girl. Spend that on some new something for you and yours. While I think it's a beautiful thing  to do I don't think its worth it.

It is most definitely worth it, if you can afford it. My BFF is doing it for her upcoming wedding and it really is not as expensive as she originally feared. It's a nice touch for guests and it ensures that your wedding will not be on CPT.
