Wedding venue <$1500

Hi all! My fiance and I are planning our August (Saturday) wedding. I am currently looking around for a venue (70-80 people) that is $1,500 or less. I am hoping to do the ceremony and reception in the same place so everybody doesn't have to be lugged to the second place for a reception.

We've found some couple places, but I would like to look at a few more spots. I'm not looking for anything really fancy. I'm hoping to find something in the South Sound if I can.

Any suggestions?

Hey there we were looking for the same thing we are getting married at the port in down town Olympia at the tower and were paying  $380.00 for both wedding and reception all at the same place were also getting married in August on the 20th
if your interested in this spot I know that the 27th is taken for sand in the city.
Oh and try the falls in Tumwater I think you can do both there also.

We're using the "Mt. Baker Clubhouse"...it is beautiful!  BUT--they may be booked for 2011 Saturdays?  We'd waitlisted--and ended up with a great Summer Sunday deal.  Nice people--plenty of room--and it just feels great in there.  Good luck!

We're getting married this summer at the Browns Point Improvement Club (Tacoma waterfront).  It's 1525 for a Saturday, right above the range you gave.  We are going to do the ceremony out by the water and then have the reception inside in the clubhouse.

    Good luck!

I've heard Brown's Point is nice.  There's also The Landmark Convention Center in Tacoma: http://www.tacomaslandmark.com/

Check out UW! Sunset Hill Community Center in ballard is very cute and inexpensive, especially for something in Seattle. Would definitely fit your wedding size well.

The pierce county environmental services building is one of our top choices http://www.co.pierce.wa.us/pc/abtus/ourorg/ccp/rentals.htm
Union Station in DT Tacoma is also surprisingly cheap.
Snuffin's catering actually has a nice list of reception venues (the ones that they're pre-approved for) that are relatively inexpensive.
