You guys have given me such a warm welcome to the board I thought I would share a few more details about my FI, family and the wedding! I haven’t set up a blog or bio yet because I honestly don’t have a whole lot of time (I am writing this while at work on a break). I am a full time student who graduates in June, with a 9 year old daughter and I work full time with a 1 hour each way commute every day…so as you can imagine, my schedule is pretty hectic with very little “down time”.
My fiancé and I met several years ago through mutual friends and just started dating a little over a year ago. He proposed last summer when we were visiting my parents in Wyoming. He had just met my dad and decided to have “the talk” while they were looking at guns! Brave, I know…shortly after they talked and my mom, daughter and I came in from our walk my dad hugged me and said congratulations and told my mom to welcome Tim to the family…LOL! Tim hadn’t even proposed yet, but I guess my dad was too excited. She he went and got the ring, got down on one knee and of course I said yes!
We were originally going to have a small, quiet wedding in Wyoming on my parents land, but once we started planning it became too much and we found a venue here in Oregon.
Some of the special details are:
*My daddy is a Retired Air Force Tech Sgt and will be wearing his dress blues! My dream come true!
*The girls will be in Navy blue Alfred Angelo dresses, cocktail length, style of their choice. The guys will be in grey pants, white shirt, blue suspenders and blue tie with a 1920’s paper boy hat. The groom will be the same, minus suspenders and add a vest. Similar to this but the difference is they will all match:

*We will be going to Boston for a week for our honeymoon. FI is a HUGE Red Sox fan and we both love History and are not into the whole “tropical” thing and couldn’t afford a European vacation, so this is perfect! We are so excited…
*Our wedding will be small and casual – About 70 guests. We are doing a BBQ for the reception and having a variety of choices. Many people have said that some of our choices aren’t realistic, but we cannot stress enough how we want it to be small and fun…we want to remember everyone that is going to be there and we want it to literally be like a family BBQ. I have faith it will all work out.
*My very talented sister is doing our cupcakes/cake…I gave her colors and a few ideas. Can’t wait to see what she come up with! J
*I have no “In-Law” drama, thankfully, however I did have my BM and Wedding Planner drop out about a week ago stating that “she was too busy” to be a part of my wedding….She was upset with me for not having extra time every week to hang out with her when she lives 2 hours away from me…O-well.
I think that is all the interesting/fun facts! Thanks for letting me share and if you have questions, please feel free to ask!
