Book with Capella Courts- because they have taken brides money and shut down. FI and I went to visit this venue when we first got engaged and it was lovely. The only reason we didnt book was because they only allowed us 5 hrs of rental time. This was including vendor set up- getting ready- ceremony and reception and for 6500 I need a lil more time than that.. WWYD if it was 5 days before your wedding other than have a heart attack..

Omg. I know someone that happened to. She was out almost 10,000. She ended up having to switch to a community center because the rental price was in what was left of her budget. She was a mess and there was no way I could feel what she was feeling. Now that I'm planning my own affair I feel her devastation. Places that are going under should not be allowed to book.

Yes I am. I posted on there as well.. It really really suks.. If I was a worker working there and I knew we were going under, I think I would personally call the brides and let them know. What would I have to loose, the company I'm working for is already going out of business. I wouldnt dare take their money...

UNimaginable.  and litigable.   I hope it'll be some comfort to the brides that if they file for bankruptcy, the ladies have a chance at recovering their cash.   in the meantime seriously I don't think I'd know what to do.   Texas is warm right now so a park maybe?  It is devastating.   Definitely makes wedding insurance worth it.    are they expensive?

Thats crazy...this happen to a bride here and another venue seen their story on our news , called them and said they picked up their entire tab. They didnt have to pay anything. The venue supplied space, food, bar and cake. Why do companies do that to people ? Like they just havr money to give away like that.

 I wonder if its expensive as well.. I think I will look into it. My venue is a Hilton Hotel so im sure they wont be closing but you never know these days.

COURT.  Somebody would be selling something; a house, boat, shoes, some drawers, something.  You are not taking my money like that and I have to SUFFER.  Naw.  It's not my fault you went under. Handle it.   Wedding insurance?  Yeah ok.  So long as I get my money back. Sheesh.  

I am sorry for the brides going through the mess with the venue that is no longer.

LOL. Texas weather is weird and back and forth. It cant make up its mind. Yea some areas had flurries but it started warming back up. It supposed to be up into the 70s later this week. My wedding was in November and was supposed to be the time when the cold fronts come in............yea it was 80 during the day and about 74 that night lol.

For those that asked about insurance:

Ours was $220 for $50k worth of coverage.... it covered everything like what happened, also if our presents got stolen, someone got hurt at the wedding, food poisining, and if a vendor didn't show up for some reason or didnt provide service

 That's not bad at all. Do we contact our regular insurance agent or is there a wedding insurance company?

Your regular insurance may offer it but its cheaper through wedsafe or TrAVELERS
